is it really worth it?? i mean u still have to pay for online and all but is it really worth it idk wat games are coming out so please help me

It doesn't matter what games are coming out. It's worth it for the giant library of older titles you can pick up on the cheap.

Of course Fable 2 doesn't hurt.

$199 is ridiculously cheap. Roughly using today's exchange rates imagine having an Xbox 360 at £99.99. Crazy cheap.

It's not worth that much without a hard drive. Also bear in mind that the wifi costs an obscene amount.

yeah i'd go for it, at that point its cheaper than the wii, though with other stuff it would be more expensive. And it depends if you need wifi or not(though yest that msoft wifi adapter price is crazy, and supposedly there are cheaper alternatives, but if your just paying for xbl its no biggie).

As for the hard drive it depends what you plan to do with it. Since you have a ps3 just do all your multimedia and stuff through that i would say.

Besides why stick with 1 console? The good thing is alot of games are alot cheaper than they were(gamfly is cool too, and if you want to keep a game they will give it to you usually at a good price then later send the standard box and manual for the game)

The 199 one still isn't worth it in my opinion but the 250 one is a lot more appealing. The problems with buying consoles though is the accessories and all that. I paid over 800 bucks for my PS3 because i had to HDMI, extra controller and ONE game.

360 at 250 i have to spend about 100 bucks on wireless router + new controller and one game which just blows.

Its easy to say yea i can spend 250 but calculating real cost its more like 400 bucks still. I was seriously considering getting a 360 and i still am for left 4 dead and gears. Don't care about fable 2 cus i never played fable 1. But then i can always get left 4 dead for pc and just hook up pc to hdtv and then hook up a 360 controller to pc so i can play it comfortably

If a hard drive bothers you so much , pick a used 20 gig at ebay for about 20 bucks.

yeah it was like 800 dollars for me as well when i got my ps3 last summer(service plan, hdmi to dvi cable and 2 games).

But the next level up might be better for him, however if he does all his multimedia and stuff on his ps3 a memory card probably wont be to bad for what he needs.

Yea i agree with that. But if you buy 360 without hard drive sooner or later you will end up regretting it.

By then hopefully there is a price cut

But yeah ebay would work too.

Though i though you could use an external hard drive but there is some issue with that i forget.

You can't download updates and demos on an external hard drive. No hard drive cripples your ability to play online due to not being able to update. IMO this is the biggest problem...could be wrong though

i guess theoretically you could use your memory card for that and use everything else on the hard drive....maybe i dunno either lol.

$300 (£164.47) for a 60GB 360 Pro is an awesome price, as far as I'm concerned. An extra $100 (£219.30 in total) nets you an Elite, which is an even better deal. Makes me wish we had such great deals over here...

I'd love 360 Elites to be sold for less than £220...

Yea but memory card is like 512MB. Thats like a 10 game update limit. But still no demo. You can always buy harddrive from ebay or just pay 50 bucks and get a 60GB HDD

When I can get a 60GB 360 with wifi for under £200 then I will probably go for it. Of course, I might be too tempted to buy guitar stuff.

Why the 360 STILL has no wifi is beyond me. They adopted bigger hard drives and hdmi but no wifi. The convenience of setting up your console with a wireless connection almost outweighs playing online. Its not every time i want to put my console next to the internet connection. Its just so much more convenient
