I am wondering which one is the better choice, my sister is graduating next month so i want to give her a 360 since we already have ps3. my boyfriend is giving me a Wii so a 360 is all we need now

but my question is if I buy an elite... is it like wasting money when it does the same as the pro or does the elite does something different?

just asking for guidelines... thanks for the info in advance

EDIT: btw I am dieing to play MassEffect

I guess buying an elite is like wasting money if you're not going to be watching movies and buying shows off Live. But then again that 120GB will be nice, and practically needed, if you want to install games on your hard drive. I think all new 360s have an HDMI input, so the only advantage to the elite is the large hard drive.

I'd just get a pro then. Looks like you can get the 60GB on amazon now, they're 50$ more than the 20GB, though.

Unless your sister is a serious 360 enthusiast that will use that 120gig for demo's, DLC, movies and game installs, a pro will easily suffice

Buying any 360 unit is never a waste of money. You simply cannot put a number on the rrod experience.  My man Jimi Hendrix experienced it and look what it did for him.  It is a rite of 360 life that you must endure.  Go forth young man and rrod.

if the new 60GB weren't coming out i would say go for an Elite. better to have the extra HDD space just in case.

but now that they're going to ship the 60GB then i would go for that since they're the same price as the Pros now.
60B is enough i would guess since 360 games don't have mandatory installs.

i have 160GB on my PS3 and i still have 100GB left, mostly because i have 19GB of muisc, all the demos and trailers off PSN on them and lots of cool wallpaper.
i doubt i'll be putting all that stuff on my 360 when i get one since i'll just use my PS3 for that. so i'll most likely get the 60GB once those Jaspers come out.
i'd rather have the Elite black/gray finish though.

lol I was a little tipsy last night and decided to do some good old nick / odion trolling.  It felt good at the time despite being a fleeting experience.  Now that I look at it and your awesome reply,  I chuckle and see how dumb trolling really is.  Take care -

One difference more:

Premium gives you the Component HD cable (still analog like VGA)
Elite gives you the HDMI cable package (digital)

For the rest important is: do you like a black or a white console ;-)

I'd get elite, it looks better, and is seemingly more reliable then the PRO model.
