Supposely news has come out that MGS4 resoultion will be 576p. I'm trying to find a link to the thread on Beyond3D but from what I'm hearing, that kinda of kick in the balls to alot of graphic whores. Beyond3D also pointed out that Halo 3 was 640p and CoD4 was 600p on both consoles.

Still getting MGS4 for my PS3 but for fanboys and trolls this will be a field day for them.

oh great. yeah probably a rumor....but if it isn't a rumor but still looks really good, which im pretty sure it will...it really doesnt bother me too much.

i hope its not true. personally im hoping for 1080p of some form. i didnt go buy a 1080p TV to play my ps3 games at 720p or lower :(

hopefully 1080p starts becoming the norm

I don't think it's true but if it is I'll be the first to admit it'll suck.

yeah but supposedly a lot of games aren't actually 1080p but are(upscaled? i forget) and they look excellent. I liked the look of cod4, and supposedly thats not 1080p...its just upscaled or something. Im thinking this is probably fro mthe same place that said that...so then again maybe its jsut a rumor.

Yeh it from the same forum who said that CoD4 was 600p on both consoles and Halo 3 was 640p and they were right both times so they could be right about it this time.

It'll still look amazing and I'm sure 4/5 people wouldn't even notice if nobody told them much like with Halo and CoD4. HD TV's are in the boom but videogames haven't even hit the 720p as a standard yet but I don't see this as a problem becuase it still looks amazing. Anyone know what Bioshocks native res was? Probably not 720p.

I hear you on that the fact will be used a lot

and that's just sad

What a stupid fail, dozens of journalists played trough the whole game and were amazed by the quality and perfection of it. Do you think they would have said something different if the game was 576p and looked blurry and weird????

You have to be really gullible and retarded to even consider that being true.

thanks for the info, but these "technicalities" dont mean a thing to me, as long as its fairly smooth and still HD all i care about is the fun factor!

the like said before, the stats are for the fanboys bragging rights, and they can have them, i'll be too busy gamin

The machines just aren't powerful enough to run the software. Developers are pretty much forced to make really plain looking 1080p games with framerate issues, or nice, full, colourful 720p (or less) games that run smoothly.

And trust me, COD4 on PC (if you use a 1920*1200 display) looks SO much better, simply because of the resolution. On Xbox and PS3 everything looks washed out and blurry in the distance, the only thing saving it on Xbox is the 4x anti-aliasing.

First post and your name is iAmPS3. Companies can lie, Bungie and MS have done it and so have many other companies. I'm also pretty sure that most journalists would not know alot about resoultions. I am still getting the game as it looks awesome and alot of fun but hell, alot of people in the Beyond3D forum know thier stuff.

if that is true how can the graphics look so sharp and the demostration of the demo was nothing but awesome smoothness?

did they had a superior PS3? perhaps PS4?
