Got mine today, replaced my broke launch 60gig, will miss the 60 as it had nice features, but i got alot of goodies to make up for it,

2 Dual Shocks
MGS4- already got but my mate wants it
Rachet Clank
Controller charging docks
Bluray remote
but overall it is just a 40 with an 80gig hdd

Those bastards! Maybe they could do it through software emulation in the future, but they probably won't bother, seeing as it won't make them much money.

call me crazy, but I just kept my original PS2, or as I like to call it, my Shadow of the Collossus player. That's the only game I really go back for.

It's 30 new but I'm sure you could get a used one for 20 or so.

this came with firmware 2.36, and my god you dont realise how handy the latest firmware is, realy is a massive difference

Sucks that your 60GB broke, 80GB NA is like the only model with BC now, sadly its not even 100%

Us Europeans never got a fully backwards compatible PS3. Our 60gb was like the NA 80gb with software emulation.
I really hope Sony releases a software emulator for all PS3's once the PS2 finally dies (

) off.

just a wee update on the 80 compaired to my launch 60gig, have to say it runs alot quieter, my 60 fan used to spin none stop even when watching movies, none of the same here, games, the fan is also noticibly quieter, in general the 80gig is running cooler.

I don't think they sell any new models with B/C, luckly I got my B/C 80gb.
