This game pretty much slipped out of the radar,so i'm creating this thread in anticipation of some big news.
Actually,it was planned for the second quarter of 2008 and news should be coming in soon.Personally,
i thought this was the most impressive tech/game demo i ever saw. Here  are some  videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W97jzYW_vgo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_F6-vd_7Hw

The textures might not look so good, but you must consider the sheer scale of the game.
Animations are top-notch though.

Side-note-Something intriguing:Sony actually showed two trailers which were very different, both
in terms of setting and gameplay. The second one actually looks like an MMORPG and is less impressive.
I had to look everywhere for this trailer, here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSf7cii8n04&feature=related
Update:seems it is a different title.

I hope this has not been cancelled,or else,i'll look like an even bigger fool.

Whatever this game is, its racist lol.
I really do hope the game is an MMORPG. Game will probably slip into 09 but who knows, it could come out this yr. I prefer the mmorpg vid to the others where it looks like its a game where you take pics of jungle animals. FVK DAT. I want to get my mandingo on

I never knew what it was until I watched that MMORPG trailer and actually thought it might be ok, at least it would be different(which is never good or bad)

Well, could you kindly explain the differences? Because both sound boring to me.

Yes I'm sure
Afrika is the mysterious game that's being developed by Sony in Japan the other one I have absolutely no clue what it is but it looks like a turd in my humble opinion.

Well until I see some gameplay, I'm writing both off as crap. Honestly, I'd rather watch the discovery channel and at least see real animals.

i don't even know what it's about, but i'd like to see more about it though.
hopefully it's not another shooter.

I would be impressed if it were a life sim... Like, you choose between controlling a Cheetah or a Lion or an Elephant... You know, that would be fun, edge of your seat, and unique.

Very little has filtered about the actual gameplay, but we
can be pretty sure this is actual in-game footage.
