My ps3 fans were louder than usually for the past weeks and my room was at 79-80 degrees and i turned it back down to 73 and now my fans are quiet again!

Um yeah.... Now you know the correlation between a hot room and a hot device trying to cool itself. The hotter the room, the harder it has to work.

I am glad you have a quieter PS3 now however.

LMAO, Well considering here in phoenix 78-80 is considered cool with the A/C on because it is 110+ outside...Might explain my EPIC 360 failure rate and my louder than usual PS3.Wii doesn't seem to mind. lol

Edit - To keep a room at 73 degrees it would cost me around 650 dollars a month during the 3 summer months..

My father-in-law lives in Surprise, AZ, and they were telling me that their plan makes them turn off the a/c during the day or get charged huge rates... which just seems insane given the normal temps...

*edit* might be cheaper to buy 3 months supply of liquid nitrogen. :p
