I'm suprised there hasn't been a straight out Lego game on the Wii yet.
I'd love to play with Legos without the thought of loosing any of them

I think the wii needs some sort of Space Harrier clone.

Well the interface kind of lends itself really well to the point and click adventure genre. You could do an old school point and click with some quicktime events and waggle sequences to keep the masses happy. It could be done in the first perosn with the nunchuck used to navigate and the pointer as a...well...pointer. It culd have an old school SCUMM style menu across the bottom of the screen.
So long as the game had a good sense of humor it would probably sell alright to the casual set so long as the difficulty wasn't to high. It could have some sort of co-op mode. And as an added bonus it would probably be cheap to make.

my idea:
All that i can think of is mix lots of oldschool gameplay, that are hard yet fun to play.

Each level represents different kinds of gameplay (beat'm up, sidescroller action etc etc)( ofcourse you should add this cheeky story to it)
Yet it takes a gameplay feature allong the way that you normally dont see in that kind of gameplay gerne.(lets say its a feature thats going to be the "key"  gameplay element, getting mixed with with different Game styles)

The transitions between the levels should be done in a way like if the gameplay did not change at all.

Would be awesome if it be a 2D game....
O yeah And awesome Particle effects =D...

edit: I'm so pissed i cant work allong side with you guys ...Doing gamedesign and all...i really want to work on a game for once XD. MEH!

Sword fighting does seem like a good idea but not the way Soul Cal and Dragon Blade have done it.  We don't need to swipe left for left swing, right for right swing but for special moves you can do with motion.  Like holding down B and Z to charge then swipe up and across for a Holy Blade attack or pointing the Wii Remote to the floor and moving it down for a ground attack.

Make use of the speaker on the controller.  No More Heroes did it great by getting the pep talk via cell phone but it's the Wii Remote!  Heck for a quick game for WiiWare make a Missle Command game

I'd like to see some more playing in 3D.  Opening doors you move your hand forward, twist, and move back.  You could do a bunch of different vehicle based like the Wii Remote the shifter and the nunchuck the steering wheel, fork lift you use both as your levers to move, automatic both for the wheel.

You've really got what we want to pull of in games. Nice idea.

>_< damn i forgot this idea i had.
When im holding the mote in my hands I always think of 2 things:

A game where the World reacts to your Wii-mote movements.
You controll the character with the nunchuck but you can rotate the room realtime and stuff like that( think of puzzle elements).

And a game where you use the Wii-mote to control gravity . ( not in a way galaxy does it)
The character will remain on its place but he can use the force of gravity to change his surroundings.

A game like Cannon Fodder on the Wii would be great... or The Secret Of Monkey Island Wii, that is a game I would absolutely love, and i'm sure millions of people would buy it!

A adventure game for the wii would be sick. Something like uncharted or tomb raider

I think its odd how people are not thinking of games as they would a movie, with creative ideas and very deep stories.

How bout a game where you go through(very very quickly) certain situations that real people have in life.Birthdays, high school, first car, broken bones, pets, the opposite sex, everything that life has to offer....and you play in that life in first person(no weapons sorry).quick mission type situations all while thinking man i dont understand whats going on why do i keep doing all these things.....then when you beat the game you realize you died and your life flashed(which you played through) before your eyes.Ideas like that.We have enough genre games...lets make another genre.Surprise endings with misdirection..how bout more dream-like games, remember Little Nemo for NES yea way ahead of its time idea wise.Want an exercise game how about swimming?tell me swinging your arms like Phelps wouldnt drain you?

How about in resident evil you use the wii remote as a lockpick? How bout in a wii mgs game you use (optional) your ds as a codec?we need creativity that cant be accomplished on the other consoles.Deep creativity.Bring back Geist and use the remote for his psychic powers.

I like that idea, Wario Land; Shake It style animation but just pure Super Mario Bros as a downloadable, but why would they do that when they can release New Super Mario Bros that sells millions on the DS at full price?

Well with the new motion plus, a decent fishing game w/ online.
A good online mortal kombat game with the use of swords would be good.
They also (even though it didn't sell and all who didn't check this game should get it) make a no more heros 2 with better graphics-the controls were tight and it was a great game.
