Status: offline 		When I'm not managing my site or reading for my degree, I'm on N4G, managing the articles. I find that (apart from duplicate or 'lame' reports, I'm the only one reporting for using personal pronouns, making people say who they're quoting. When pictures are poorly cropped or sized, and for there to be corrected typos.

Should I let these things go? as often stories get approval anyway or is my pedantic nature helping the site

Status: online 		NO!!!! Please don't stop reporting all these things you see wrong. Those types of things need to be fixed and if vigalent people like yourself didn't repor these errors this site would spiral downward quickly. Your work is appreciated.

Status: offline 		If so then paint me all shades of pedantic. I just reported about eight posts for improper grammar, spelling, punctuation and/or citation. It is highly irritating since most of those posts also had several Approvals.

Someone who had simply copied/pasted from the original article w/out proper citation even asked me to remove my report b/c they had written the original article. Didn't really matter sicne enough ppl. approved it for it to go live.

Too many inexperienced cooks "editing" the text-filled pot.

I did mention that I wrote it just as I got up, so therefore I'm a bit hazy. As TnS said, I'm happy for people to correct me, we can't notice everything.

What does rile me is how people report and also say "fix picture, but I'll also approve".

Status: offline 		One report was for an incorrect resized picture, the second was concerning the fact that I believed the story to be duplicate. If the story was failed, it wasn't only down to me,

Status: offline 		Well it was a summary (roundup) of previews and media of GTAIV, which a substantial amount had been posted on N4G.

If there was any new content, then the individual material / source should be added. After all what's to stop myself rounding up PC / Xbox360 news for the day and posting it? It would get shot down instantly.
