So I've been really excited about my PS3 ever since I bought it last November. I wanted one when they first came out but couldn't afford it. Finally got one when they introduced the 40gig. Anyways, ever since I bought it I have enjoyed reading about new stuff coming out for it on sites such as this one. The wierd thing is..... I hardly ever play it. I played the **** out of COD4 till I beat it, then never played it again. Same with Dark Sector, GTA4, and Skate. I've messed around with multiplayer from time to time, but other than that it pretty much just sits there. I'm only a "hardcore gamer" until I beat a game, after that I'm just a casual gamer I guess. Okay, here's the crazy thing. I am absolutley obsessed with reading news about the PS3, like whats coming out in the future. I check N4G at least 6 times per day. However I actually sit down and play my PS3 about once a week if that, for about an hour. I don't know if anyone else is like this, but I think it's pretty freakin weird. It might be partly because it seems like every game I'm really excited about playing isn't even out yet. Does this make me a "fanboy"? I don't have any brand loyalty towards Sony, if microsoft made the same exact machine before Sony did I would have bought that. I just think it's a no brainer that the PS3 is the best system out there, but I don't hate the others. Sorry for rambling, but wouln't you guys say that EVERYONE who actually has an N4G account and posts comments is a "fanboy"? I'm 25 years old, so I'm not a fanboy. I'M A "FANMAN"!

That's pretty funny dude, although I admit it took me a minute to decipher exactly wtf that sentence said. It hurt my brain reading that. Funny nonetheless. That kissy face your making though is kinda freakin me out dude.

You are not alone. The most use my ps3 has gotten the last month is with blu-ray and a little soul caliber 4 with my friends but I am constantly looking and searching for new info and coverage. Hope this changes over the coming months with all the games we read about

No one in their right mind would consider themselves a PS3 fanboy. It's fine to be a fan of many things, but not a PS3.

I often get the same feeling that you do, I read N4G more than I play my PS3 or Wii.
