Status: offline 		I really dont know what is the problem with the latest FW update for the ps3 everyone is having problems with... mine dindt took long to update and it runs smooth. proof of that is my friend Sniper who played topspin3 with me last night and we were using ingame msgs....

So I came to the conclusion that I just may be a lucky PS3 user or my PS3 and I get along pretty well....

Status: offline 		No, most people aren't having troubles.

It's always a low amount that have troubles, but in general, FW updates do cause problems for a small number of people. This one seems to have caused a little more than usual since Sony even took it down.

Status: offline 		my update only took a few minutes, and my PS3 is running as smooth as ever.  This is true for all my friends.  We all dl'ed 2.4 around 11:45 that night, and we've been in game messaging eachother ever since

Status: offline 		All's good on my end. It's getting a lot louder than it used to be, but I suspect it just needs cleaning. The only game I ever had trouble with was Assassin's Creed. It liked to freeze on me sometimes. I still managed to finish it and complete almost every memory so it wasn't exactly crippling or anything. The whole 2.4 thing was overblown, evidenced by the fact that Sony just put the update back up, completely unpatched.

Status: online 		nah not many people were having trouble, i for one updated my ps3 in 5 minutes only, and was using a lot of the features to message friends and stuff. Though, I do have question marks for my trophies and internet search Icons, which I don't really mind since Satanas told me it had to do with the theme I was using.

The normal trophy symbol looks average anyway, and when you use in game xmb, you can see it since it uses the default theme.

In retrospect I don't think the update was that great, but everything on my PS3 is working as it should.

Status: offline 		i guess i'm a lucky one. every FW update went perfect for me. i played 16hrs straight of MGS4 with no problems went to sleep for 4 hours and did another found of 8hrs again.
sucks that some people have been getting problems with theirs.

edit. yeah icons/trophies take a bit to load. hopefully they fix that later on.
