I have started this thread to ask everyone which game would they hate to see not live up to the hype and possible reasons that it would not live up to the hype.
Personally I would hate to see Time Splitters 4 go wrong that would be depressing and really kill my hope for this generation. TS has always been one of my favorite franchises. Splitscreen ftw =). It has provided a great multiplayer experience and has been one of the best games I have ever played. Haze has rained on my hope for this game.
Other games I would hate to see go wrong (though I have no reason to suspect that they will)
Tales of Symphonia 2
FF13
Resistance 2
KZ2 (could possibly because the first one wasn’t so great)
Red Faction Guerrilla

i would hate to see FF13 not live up to my expectations.
FF12 was good but i didn't like the new approach they went with. i know people complain it's nothing new and when they do something new they complain still.

mgs4 - but it lived up to my expectations... and more
halo 2 - turned me off really bad

other than that i dont' really get too hyped on games.

Silent Hill 5. I need a really good psychological survival horror game right now.

you should give Siren: Blood Curse a go. i really liked the demo except the lack of a camera system.

Yeah, I am scared for God of War 3.  I don't think they will f*ck it up but they need a good director to step up.

The one game I don't want to go wrong is BK3, because there aren't any platformers made nowadays. Aside from that, I don't really care. LBP can't go wrong so I won't chose that.

I would definitely hate to see inFamous go wrong. Either that or FFXIII Versus. Both titles in my eyes have so much potential. I'm honestly looking forward to Versus more than FFXIII because it seems to be taking a darker tone.

I know it's not a game per-se, but I'd hate for Home to go wrong.

Besides that, my next big hyped game is LBP. But I doubt it would go wrong.

I've got a Japanese account, made it for the prologue demo, but I never know what anything on that store is. Does it say Siren on the store or is it just some kanji?

Oh I almost forgot Sonic Unleased and my reason is that previous Sonic games haven't been stellar.

Heavy Rain although I have faith in Quantic Dream after Fahrenheit though. Even the things that people disliked about Fahrenheit (which anyone who's played the game knows CLEARLY what it entails), he said they were due to time constraints and he wasn't letting that happen again. That said, if I got this game and it was the most gorgeous game ever but ended up being like 3 hours long, I would be a sad panda but I'd play through it until I couldn't play anymore.

I'm mostly scared for FFXIII and God of War III. Please God, watch over them as they work on these two games.

Amen.
