This is driving me nuts. It takes about 1-5 seconds for my character to respond to my input command. Is anybody else experiencing this?

If you bought the game on the 360, then I think it's probably because you have a shyt internet connection (P2P).

Virtua Fighter 5 R is coming out to the arcades. It adds a new character call Jean Kujo and a returning character from Virtua Fighter 3, Taka-Arashi. Hopefully Sega will port this version to console's with online play?

That's pretty weird considering Tekken's online is pretty responsive as long as no one's lagging in the game. Was it all games or just a few?

Well tekken probably has dedicated servers considering it's a psn game.

Nope it doesn't, players host it and it's Namco still so I was expecting some of that stuff to carry over and be improved in Soul Calibur. How's the VOIP? I know in Tekken that can contribute to lag if you have it enabled.

I think Soul Calibur IV online is P2P for all consoles. Namco better patch the game to fix the delays. Guess I won't be playing online for awhile.

turning voice off helped in DOA4 online, so it might help with SC4. Gonna go pick a copy up later, but do i go for Darth vader or Yoda. I know i would prefer the fighting style of Yoda (small and fast) but vader looks so cool.

I haven't picked up the game yet, but i haven'tn heard this  before. try it on a friend's ps3 and verify the source. Also I thought only 1st party sony games required dedicated sercvers?

Surely you want the PS3 one for the better d-pad?

oh yes the d-pad is better on the PS3 so Tekken and SF4 i will have to get on PS3, as the d-pad is essential.

Im not it is with SC4, i may just wait and get my mate to get me free rentals of both versions in a week or two. its good having a housemate that works at blockbuster!

Only if you have a DS3, otherwise all controller-based multiplatform decisions should be swung in the 360's favour. The 360 controller is better than the Sixaxis and that's a fact, but the DualShock is just as good, and in my opinion better because of the D-pad.

Of course, that's just my opinion really, I know some people prefer the Sixaxis to the 360 controller.

I've not only managed  to get used to a lack of rumble but even started to get annoyed by it whenever I experience it, so I don't share your opinion any longer.

Rumble never mattered to me in the first place, I always wondered why people cared about something so trivial. Perhaps I never got the wow factor some people seemed to experience when you got hit and the pad starts rumbling in your hands.

I enjoyed the SA alot more than the 360 controller for alot of reasons. It was familiar, comfortable and the argument about the 360 being better for FPS doesn't apply to me. I excel at the genre regardless of what controller setup I go with. That said, I did pick up a DS3 but for 2 reasons. I wanted to see how it felt during my MGS4 playtimes. And the second reason was...I played a **** ton of COD..so much so that my analog stick on the SA is slightly pushed upwards so at times it;'ll move on it's own. It's not a problem really, but it was a good reasno to get a  DS3 :D
