I have to say that pretty much every JRPG has been disappointing this generation not including Tales of Vesperia, does anyone else feel as if there should be a few more good JRPG's. I mean Vesperia is good, but not stellar, and yet I want a good JRPG. What do you think will be the first stellar JRPG?

Seriously RPGS take time to make good, devs seem to rush them now, I'd say the first big hit for Jrpg will probably be WKS, the next big W-RPG will be Fallout 3 most likely.

Personally I am looking forward to both, but rather get WKS.

Me too, I hope that VC does well, but WKS will be one of the best games this gen.

I also think that Alpha Protocol will be good, but not on WKS level. When will WKS come out? Early 09?

I wonder when FF 13 will come and if there will be an FF 14 before the end of the gen. Every gen has had 3 FF's, but this gen looks as if it will only get 2.

JRPGs suck now. They are the same as they were over 10 years ago. Linear story, spiky haired man-women, rediculous magic attacks, and cheesy dialogue. The problem isn't the games that are out now...it is that they have done nothing to change themselves for over a decade.

At least the Western developers make open-ended RPGs with somewhat realistic characters. Expect the same piss poor reviews for Final Fantasy XIII...etc.

10 years? Try like 15 or closing in on 20, they haven't changed drastically since the Super Nintendo era

So insular. Note atleast that WRPGs aren't doign a damn thing different. Fallout will be exactly like Elder Scrolls which has been a free roaming game since 1992. Shocking thats about 15 years.

It's not just JRPGs it's all RPGs. The only reason you don't see it is becuase you prefer the WRPG premise, with freedom and rela time combat.
