Anyone notice that the Variety Pack Weekend for COD (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) leads straight up to the release of GTA IV? Seems like they wanted to give us a going away present as they know that no one will be playing COD after tomorrow.

Why would someone want to keep playing a game thats boring now when the best game of 08 is coming out now...Horrible timing on the release of the maps

There will still be plenty of people playing CoD 4. Just a little less maybe, but CoD 4 isn't the type of game that die over night...if ever.

I know that. I am just saying that the Variety Pack seems to come out just in time for people to stop playing as much as they usually do. What is the point of this/ The only thing I can think of is that it is a way of saying good-bye to dedicated fans who are now going to become ocasional players (in my case ne ways).

Just because GTAIV got a 10 out of 10 does not mean it is the greatest game ever. Personally I dont enjoy those type of games, and dont understand the massive hype behind them.

I could care less that the Xbox has GTA IV. I will probably be playing CoD4 until I leave since it's simply a fun game. I also think that the 10 out of 10 is overrated, because nothing is perfect, and nothing ever will be.
