Games made after movies for me are the worst type of games because the graphics are great but the storyline or gameplay wants to make you throw up in your pants on multiple occasions (lol). I mean you can literally beat the game within the hour you buy it. For example, Spiderman 3. The graphics are okay but the story line is straight up stupid I traded it for another game.

I thought The Bourne Conspiracy was good, and I hear the HULK is supposed to be good as well.

The last hulk game that came out was simple and as easy as can be. So I would expect better graphics but an easy storyline.

They simply have a devastingly high chance of failure if they are based on a movie, there are exceptions as harry has pointed out.

Well,another one being Goldeneye perhaps.

The Warriors was pretty hardcore.

Scarface:The World is Yours was highly rated.

Spiderman 1 was pretty good.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron was amazing.

Kung Fu Panda did pick up some very very good reviews,including a bunch of 9/10 s.(360 and PS3)

Well it depends if you mean games directly based on movies, or ones that go off of the movies story line.

Chronicles of Riddick for example isn't based directly on the movie, Rogue Squadron and other games mentioned, and there are many games like those that are excellent.

If you are talking about movies that directly follow the movies plot, then yeah it seems many times there have been games that overall haven't been that great, however there are a good number of exceptions like the ones harry mentioned.

On topic: Although I don't totally agree with the OP, there are some good movie based games....It seems like Games that are made into movies (Resident Evil, Hitman) are hits. Why is that? Movie buffs aren't as nit picky as gamers?

I played King Kong for the Achievement points and it was actually kind of enjoyable...

TMNT was a really shallow game but I actually found some of the levels to be kind of exciting when playing time trial mode.
