Ok, so normally when you want to make strange ascii characters you hold ALT and press a certain numerical combo. Such as 188 for a ╝ corner type symbol. However, my PC doesn't seem to be following the normal pattern. Try this yourself, hold Alt and type 181 on the num pad. You should get ╡ but for some reason I end up getting Á. Basically, it's not working how it should do. The sequence from 180 to 190 inclusive should be: ┤ ╡ ╢ ╖ ╕ ╣ ║ ╗ ╝ ╜ ╛ But I get this ┤ Á Â À © ╣ ║ ╗ ╝ ¢ ¥ Some of them are right, some of them are miles off. Thing is, 187 actually sends Firefox back to the home page, so that ╗ is pasted from notepad. I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the hell is going on . I don't know when it changed or what's causing it. (Chances are I'm missing something obvious but Google hasn't helped me yet).
