Status: online 		I was reading gamepro mag and they had this 10 commandments of GOW3. They had some new additions that made sense like bring in gauntlent of zeus weapon which was an awesome weapon from psp game, add some kind of discuss weapon, some nice six axis support, run in full HD bla bla. Last on the list was kill off kratos.

Now kratos is a bastard and all but as a character, i don't think he is the kind of guy you just kill off. We are talking about a guy that has died twice and basically climbed out of hell. How do you kill some one like that?

For GOW3 i would like them to delve more into the story of his family. The psp game touched a bit on his daughter and lets not forget kratos has an evil brother. I say sony should just hold GOW for as long as they need so they can just give us one last GOW to be the ultimate hack and slash game there is. After this they can do random spin offs but this story needs to end with 3. Santa Monica better not mess it up

Status: offline 		Kratos lives in a different world than us. He lives in mythology. He can't die, he can only pass on to heaven or hell.

I don't think he'll die. If he does, it surely WILL be his choice. Kratos is too godly to let himself be shamed by dying from another's strike.

Status: offline 		They did say at the end of GOW 1 that from that day on, throughout history whenever men charged into battle, they did so under the watchful eye of Kratos, the new god of war. Now when they said that I think they already had the whoel story arc planned out, so I don't imagine they'll kill him off.
On the other hand, Jaffe once said that there's a reason all the ancient gods are gone no and we'd see what that reason is by the end of the series. Take that as you will.
Personally I don't see how they can kill Kratos. The guy already died twice and tried to kill himself once. Fact is, you just can't keep him down. As you said Sonarus, he literally climbed back out of hell once.

The thing with GOW is that after 1 Jaffe left, Then after 2 Barlog left. I really do hope the game is in good hands with the new creative director. GOW is the ultimate hack and slash action game and sony should consider this their pride and joy. 3 games and no fails Sony better not fvk it up because i will be pissed.

Status: offline 		It is extremely difficult for the third game in the series to be as great as the previous two. Case in point Halo 3, Doom 3, and Oblivion...what the hell I'll throw Fallout 3 out there too. So the choke factor for God of War 3 is pretty high. I'm not sure what to expect but my worst fear is it'll end up playing like Conan, which is not a bad game mind you, still fun but uninspired.

In God of War 3, everything DIES.

You bring up an interesting point there. They definitely spent some time on the Hades model in GOW2 which tells me that Kratos will be fighting Hades in the third game. He's probably going to kill Hades, Zeus and Poseidon before the game is over so if Kratos dies again, where would he end up?

Status: online 		The third game is centred around the Titans and Olympians doing battle. Or at least, that's the impression I have. So the idea of Kratos dying is out of the question. Unless the Titans turn on him after killing all of the other Olympian Gods and finish him off. I guess that's possible, but it's still unlikely.

I just wonder which Olympian's will be left for Kratos to kill... I can't figure the Titans letting Kratos take the pleasure of killing Zeus...

Pssh. If the Titans try to mess with Kratos after the gods are dead, he'll just have to kill them too.

Remember in the first game when the giant minotaur bursts through the door and Kratos just stares it down before kicking it's ass? Yaa, nothing and nobody is going to be killing Kratos if he doesn't want to be killed.

Edit: Well maybe Athena...

Status: offline 		I don't think he'll die.  But I think his actions will lead to the "destruction" of the greek mythological world.  Maybe Kratos will be taken up as "jupiter" or something else.  But i'm pretty sure everything is going to get f****d
