For some reason avatars aren't appearing for me. I've unchecked the box in my profile but it doesn't seem to be working. Suggestions?

You mean this one "Don't Show member's Avatar in posts"? That's all I think of...unless you accidentally blocked images from forums.n4g.com or something...

Looks like you've got it sorted but in the future the easiest thing to do is (in Photoshop) make sure the image size is 145x145, 72; then save for web, choose gif, then reduce the colors til it's less than 10 kb.

Quick question! I uploaded a pix on my Avatar but it's not showing up when I post threads. Does anyone know why? Appreciate the help in advance!

Avatars:
Forum avatars are larger than mainpage avatars, and do not automatically resize.  Thus, they may give you a bit more trouble!
1) Go to My CP (in the top bar, looks like a lego)
2) Click the Avatar/Profile Picture tab
3) Upload your avatar here, be sure it meets the specs listed below*.  Unlike sigs, avatars are uploaded, not link, so this shoudl be saved to your computer.

Tip: If you have an image that is 145x145 or less but you just can't get it to less than 10kb, save it as a gif and reduce the color spectrum. 

* Avatars must be equal to or less than 145x145px, less than 10kb and should not contain nudity

I though the Sig limit was 400kb, i'll change mine then.

All you need to do is get an img from somewhere,like say Photobucket and put that in your sig,instead of what you have there now.

It will need to be under 100kb. Being a .gif image that is probably more than half a second long, it will not be.
