As for myself, I've got a PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox360, 2 desktops and my laptop.  The only problem I have ever had with any of them is, for a short time a friend had my PS1 and they ended up breaking the disc holding pointy thing.  The system still runs fine, but the discs don't spin right so it takes about half an hour to load screen changes in Harvest Moon: BTN.

The only ones that broke "naturally" were my 360 and PS2.

I pawned my PS3 at a pawn shop for some gas money(I picked up a little later on payday) and it was broken! They didn't even take responsibility for it, they said it was already broken when I brought it in .....And they try everything out to see if it works(so they don't get ripped)before they take anything in.

The first XBOX was trashed to hell in a party...people poured beer on it and stomped on it. Someone wanted to set fire to it but the beer prevented that.

My 64 disappeared...really, it just up and disappeared...my house was locked and everything and nothing else was missing.

My GF's PSP just stopped playing the UMD's one day(it was loading up a game), like the UMD would physically not move anymore. EBgames said the warranty covered it, but as soon as it came back they wanted me to pay almost full price for a refurbished...What the hell happened to the warranty? isn't that the whole point of a warranty? So you don't have to pay for repairs when it breaks.

OMG!! I've been trying to play Madden online on my 360 and the damn thing keeps freezing up. I'll be playing and then the screen just goes black.  Last time it went to an light green screen and just stayed there.  My XBOX is doing everything wrong except RROD'ing me.

My xbox 360 has broken 5 times, but it doesn't really bother me since i don't play that games that often. When I do I also have a ps3 and a wii.

Yea I got a ps3 and it has never gotten heavy use until my xbox 360 broke. This is my first time it has broken and Im missing the hell outa it. The ps3 just doesnt seem like a complete gaming console its missing something. Not sure what but it doesnt fullfill me like the Xbox 360 does.

yeah iwas kinda gettin tired of my 360 breaking so the one i got back i sold to a freind...and within a few weeks i plan to buy a core...or maybe an elite....i have the hard drive still though...but hey i thought perhaps the newer 360s were more reliable.

i cant stay 360-less for too long...hopefully i can get it in a few weeks...that tax return helped.

My system decided to toss a single red ring at me with the "E 74" error. Looking it up, it was a hardware issue with the ANA or HANA scaler chip.

Luckily my brother let me borrow his system until I get mine back... going to call repair up this afternoon.

Well just figured I would post that my Brothers Launch Core system just ringed last night...He woke me up at 11:30 last night with the bad news. He was clearly upset and launched into virtually the same rant I have many times before, He threatened to go buy a PS3, then said F Microsoft and this PoS 360...Then said what a PoS this thing is about 10 times....Followed by a few unbelievable's.

Eventually I calmed him down and told him this is the BEST case scenario. Although it sucks and you want to take a rape shower after you push the power button and it rings out on you. But this is best case scenario because now he will get a MUCH MUCH newer system with all the improvements and a new/newer DVD drive. Plus he is in a better position than me because he has a pimp ass older brother and I am going to let him borrow my PS3 till he gets his 360 back. I even just bought UT3 for him so he will have that and Uncharted...Of course I am not a nice enough guy to let him borrow MY 360. 

So in this case RRoD was a win, although total BS and unacceptable. Much better than a DVD failure or something...3 Year Crap Coverage FTW!

Ya, It was Ironic that only a few weeks ago I recovered my Gamertag on his console and played Asassins Creed over at my moms while we were over there for a while. I am the god damned reaper of 360's! I need to be hired by Microsoft to personally touch every console they make from now on I think. Guaranteed 0% failure rate because no 360 survives the Syko. 

Man it was classic though. Being that he is my little brother the kid sounded exactly like me launching into a post 360 PoS rant. Hilarious! I was trying really hard not to laugh because for once I was happy it wasn't me.

MY PS3 BROKE!
cant believe it, i just downloaded the Namco arcade museum demo and i was just about to start up home so i could put the Namco machines in my HOME but then my PS3 started bleeping then i saw the yellow light for a second and now the red light just flashes constantly.
Ive tried everything; taking out the power overnight, removing the hard drive, hugging it, etc.

Wow this thread is old, my PS2 died after about 5 years, couldn't load up any games, so I got bored and decided to smash it it up. Xbox 1, PSP, PS1, PS3, PC are all fine, my 360 broke once which I had for about 2 and a half years, got it repaired then gave it to my dad. Sainsbury then had a sale on the arcade Xbox 360 units, picked one up for £100 last year and its going like a dream so far.

I forgot I made this thread....I shoudl've cried my whiny tears of sadness here over that busted Wii!  

I've only had one PS2 break but I got it fixed for like $10. 

Other than that I have great luck.

year or so with not turning it off during FF Online..... i Bazzard afk lots....

My PS3 coughs from time to time, nothing serious though. 

 

My PS3 roars like a Beserker from Gears of War. It's actually my second PS3 in a year, my first one died, it stopped reading discs. Other than that, my Wii and 360 works fine (knocks on my wood)
