Had a hard time deciding to put Gears 1 on or not. It was the first game out on any of the systems that said "Here is the new generation". Plus it had the best multiplayer at the time...on consoles. Although it had all the features of Xbox live and the 360's interface/messaging/invites etc to back it up.

Everyone always says this but I just assume they weren't 360 launch owners.

The first time I saw a 360 kiosk in the mall with Perfect Dark Zero and Call of Duty 2 I was like "**** that is the next generation of games". It blew my mind at the time.

Well...you are right, I waited a while. Then I wanted Oblivion and Battle for middle Earth 2. Maybe it was just my first big multiplayer experience.

It's really a toss up between these 3, I just put them in the order I played them since I cant really chose.

1) MGS4
2) Uncharted 2
3) Red Dead Redemption

Other notable mentions:
Bioshock
Heavy Rain (yeah I liked it and **** you too)
The Walking Dead
Batman Series
and some others I forgot...

Keep it guys

Remember I can't mark games up or down if you don;t name a title not the series of a game or a developer...

SO if you like Halo say which one... or Uncharted say let me know... which of the three...

I will be back and forth with this as long as people that have not posted yet keep putting there picks up I will keep updating it...

Truths, Gears 2 they just tried to add color. And when it launched the online was broken so badly, the disconnections and stuff lasted for months and months. Good thing was Horde mode added though.

But Gears 2 MP didn't grab my attention (outside of Horde mode with friends mostly on gamepartys/offline) like Gears 1 did. It was fresh, bold, next gen graphics and a ****load of fun blasting a shotgun in faces

Resistance 1 was actually a great launch title, even in retrospect I cannot deny that. I hate Nathan Hale however, as a character he is awful. Resistance 2 was so forgettable that I completely dismissed the series afterwards, so R1 will always hold some fond spot in my memory banks.

I'm actually very pro-silent protagonists. Hale never spoke in R1, I liked that (at least i don't remember him talking).
I like it when their actions build them, not their words. Like Dragon Quest 8.
So I never felt Hale was 'shallow', because Hale was just a silent protagonist for me. he wasn't supposed to be anyone.. atleast to me.
