If COD4 is such a popular game then how come finding a game online is near impossible...Not to mention, when I do join a game...It lags like crazy...Are any of these problems related to my own network connection? I didn't think it was b/c I get online to websites just fine...I need some help, please. ~BCLFriday13

Constant lagging is a problem on your end, unless everyone in the match has a bad connection (check with select). You should be 3 or 4 bars in most good quality games.

The problems with joining games right now is a serious server problem. It's been like this for 2 days or more, very hard to get into a game.

I don't seem to have any problems with COD4 online. It can get a bit choppy at times but rarely

The point is that for the past few days the servers have been totally whacked. It's difficult to get into any game.

Even on the PS side of things? I know it's like that on the Xbox... but on both systems?? Maybe it's an IW thing then...

Probably either an Xmas player increase whacking or simply some problems down at IW's end. It's widespread for XBL and PSN, don't know about PC.

I tried to get to an online match yesterday...but 90% of the time all I got was "waiting for # more players" which never came.  Also, snoop dizzle and I tried to invite each other on but we kept getting "error" messages.  My theory was that there wasn't any players around considering it was just after the Christmas break for most people.

Completely incorrect. Couldn't be more wrong. The servers are messed up; invites don't work, tons of connection interruptions, it's a problem with IW's XBL and PSN servers right now. There's never a low amount of players with this game, and right now it's definitely at the highest it's ever been because of Xmas.

IW has gone lazy booty and aren't doing a thing for this..atleast that is what it looks like....
Satn...its been more then just 2 days.... I been doing private match with my little brother since Jan 1 when he got his ps3 for New years...is very hard to join online match...it only used to be for team death match but now is in general... I dont know about 360 since my baby brother does not pays for LIVE.....in the other hand sometimes is also personal connection...
so check your NAT type...it should be on Type 2.....if is 3 the retest connection for better results...If not then just go and buy Bloody Roar and have fun wile the wait

That was my original theory at first, believing that there was no way IW could screw things up again.  To be honest, I'm glad that I was wrong since I was afraid that people already got sick playing this game, or  worse, that IW turned its back on PSN users again (no flame bait here) since you've mentioned that XBL was also affected as well.  Whew!  (Takes a deep breath and relaxes)  Thanks Satanas, you little devil...and bubbles for you!!  Oh, wait...I'm not in the comments section! Crap...

I just played 3 games back to back, and then one with Dukester.  And then I couldn't do anything else... This is more than a week now.  I want more than a darned XBLA game.

I want Bill Gates to come to my house and change my diaper.

I think we should all keep in mind that the game just came out 2 months ago.  Having said that ,  I guess it is only a matter of time before they realise how big of a fan base the game has and how many people are online ready to play. All we can do is wait for the servers to get back up and running smooth asap, in the mean while... enjoy the other games that have been neglected due to your COD4 addiction

Cheers.

Yes it's the same time, 12:30ish. Just got off COD, will be on later probably at 1 or 2am.
