So I have always ignored screen technology any news regarding screens really so I have litte idea of what have happend in this market in the past 8 years or so. Atm im using a CRT screen and been thinking of getting a pair of LCD screens. So lately I been looking around the web for info about screens. Most of the info Í cound find was 2-4 years old which imo makes it almost worthless. But even the newst info I could find said that CRT screens are still better then LCD screens for gaming. My question is. Are CRT screens still better for gaming? If anyone could enlighting me or give me a link to some "new" info regreading screens. I would be very delighted

I have an LCD screen.  I hear that LCD's are not prone to image burning.

Ok, I might be wrong on some points but here it goes.

CRT has better refresh rate
CRT has better view range
CRT can output higher res
LCD is smaller (naturally)
LCD consumes less power

I dunno. Most things actually point towards getting a CRT but when I bought a new monitor I bought an LCD screen. I guess todays LCD's are just about as good as CRT's so if I were you I'd get an LCD monitor.

Edit: Btw, here's a pretty new thread on this matter. It's from TechSpot forums.

Ha, I never thought about the difference before. I just call 'em "flatscreens"...

CRT is cheaper, which may be a consideration.  For most people an LCD just looks cooler because it's so slim, and cool.

I'd say LCD but, one problem with a lot of LCDs is ghosting. Make sure you have one with a low refresh rate like 6ms or under.
