Call of Duty: World at War Sequel?
-
Monday, October 19, 2009 5:00 PM
It is mentioned in the "Killzone 3 in 2010" artical. http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News-413310.aspx Well now, Treyarch is the "other girlfriend" of the Call of Duty series. Why I say that is because there are many more, in my opinion, people that like Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare, rather than Treyarch's World at War. Modern Warfare was released about a year in advance of World at War and still seemed to be ahead in sales and popularity the whole time. Will Modern Warfare 2 be ahead of "World at War 2" also? Even with many different things in Modern Warfare 2, good and bad. We will have to see whats in "World at War 2" to see if it is going to be better than Modern Warfare 2. What are things you want to see in "World at War 2"? As in updates, maps, features, gameplay, graphics, guns, perks, and most certantly Nazi Zombies!

Yes. If Treyarch still decide to take the WW2 route again, then MW2 will still be more popular. Gamers are a bit too tired of the WW2 category. Having modern times with modern weapons appeal to a lot of people. (13 year old boys)

It's a year older of course it would have more sales.

Unlike many, I'm not tired of the ww2 cods. The franchise started inthat era, and honestly, people claim there are too many ww2 games out there already... Where? Currently there aren't really any new ww2 games comin out so let one series keep the tradition. Besides, ww2 weapons are the best. Nothing tops the m1 garande! In terms of "freshness though, IW should have never gone the fake war route. I'm still hoping they scrap it after MW2 and do a Vietnam game. It's based on a real war and there are hardly any games based on it. Sure we didn't win it, but are we really winning the war MW and MW2 is loosely based off of?

I don't really care where/when it takes place, I just wish that W@W had a singleplayer campaign that was as good as Modern Warfare's.

Modern Warfare still edges out COD:WAW in single player but I believe that WAW story was great. I loved it. My favorite ww2 game. I especially liked the sniper chapter with dimitri and reznov and the flag posting was epic. The soviets were bad a$$.

honestly, i am not a COD MW fan (gets rotten food thrown at me), but i think the multiplayer is cool. I personaly think that the way its is now, modern warfare and a WW2 coll of duty on a yearly rotation, is the best route because even though ww2 has been done over and over again I would still love to see some of the battles made on current gen consoles, and so far this gen there hasnt been vary many WW2 shooters. all of the new games are this made up war crap, and not that its bad but to me fighting in a battle that actualy happened makes the game have more meaning for me. just think of pearl harbor done with top of the line graphics, that would leave me speechless. as far as story goes i like the fact that in modern warfare you dont already know the outcome of the battlem, but either way the campaigns are too short and lack a charecter/story line.

Now not literally everyday it gets more sales but i see some articals that state that a few thousand more MW's are sold than WAW's every few months.
