I would like some opinions about how you prefer developers to manage their communities.
 
I am currently applying for a few community positions at some well known developers and whilst I have 2 years experience it is not games related.
 
I would love to get some feedback from actual gamers to see what they want from developers in these areas:
 
Communication – blogs, newsletters, press releases, etc
 
Media – videos, screenshots, podcasts, downloads such as avatars, release schedule (in batches or continuous) etc
 
Rumour Control - do you actual want companies to confirm or deny?
 
Also do any of you like one developers community management specifically more than other developers? (i.e. Turn 10 weekly reports)
 
Any views would be much appreciated

i think Criterion do it well. Official website with regualr news updates on what's happening to their games soon, and little previewsd of what they are working on.

Yeah I think they are really good at keeping everyone inform about whats coming with their game. The 'codename' pages is pretty good for hyping future updates.
