Jesus Christ, I bought the game yesterday and I can't effin' let it go!

The story is so amazing, the characters so compelling, the battles so addicted that I've been hooked these two days like a fish that doesn't want to let go of his bait!

Well I had to turn it off though cuz I kept on getting my @$$ kicked by someone very dear to the FFVII story.

So eh, anyone else have the game/hooked on it?

I can't help but agree. I love the battle system. Lots of fun and I can't help but look forward to seeing what slots I end up with everytime it comes up. I kept doing mission after mission. I was supposed to take my nap so I can make it easier for me to get up for work........yeah, that didn't happen :). This with the fact I've only played 3 hours into the game. Definatly worth a look, final fantasy fan or not.

I just got my copy and Im only one hour into it, and i must say, the best level of presentation on any handheld by a long shot.  I even feel that it was the best $40 bucks that I've spent in a very very long time, due to the fact that ive spent $60 on far lesser games on next-gen systems, and they are games that i still own and love.   X-Play is full of crap, for giving this a 2 out of 5, any game could get that score if you nit-pick it to death.

All I got to say is, negetive press + anticipated title = high internet hits (aka profit)

I got this game today along with Dark Sector, and I have to say, I'm so very impressed with it all.

I'm so addicted to doing sidequest missions, and I love how sometimes, the battles just ocme together with a luck roll of the slot machine.

I love everything about this RPG, all the delays were definitely worth it, it has a level of polish that goes unmatched by anything.

And another thing, I love using the dives in battle, it feels so coherent to the rest of the battle gameplay.

Sorry for the double post, just want to add I didn't even check the reviews before I got this game. Now I'm glad I didn't. Dark Sector is being condemned by some publications to, but everything about that game is triple A. All you have to do is read every gamer's impression of it to know it's nothing lower than an 8.

Reviews are full of it nowadays, it's all a publicity thing and nothing more. There exists no integrity.

It's pretty good.  The battle system is weird to say the least.  I'm not sure if I like the limit breaks right now at least it all seems to random but I'm only an hour into it and it takes me at least half way through a RPG to say 'Ooooohhh that's how that works'

I was so peeved they gave you lightning in your 'training' mission then took it away!  What's that.  I wish bizzard followed the enemy or at least have the magic set up like they did with Rings of Fate but that's probably just because I got done playing that one and am use to it

Amazing title right now and Zack sure is a cocky one glad to see he isn't all emo.  1 hour in and some into it and just beat the summon guy.  Looks like it may be like XII when you yourself summon a beast, but that's just speculation.

Lol guys I just passed it XD. 18 hours in the game but one of the best 18 hours I've had in a game for a while now. (Haven't played any side-quests though)

OMG the ending is by far one of the best endings on any Final Fantasy game I've played in my opinion. I've played the original before and I obviosly knew what was going to happen at the end, but the 'how' was totally different story. It's just so sad that you might even drop a tear or two.  My heart was actually pounding at the end, I've never had such an experience like that before on a game.. ever.

Very Minor spoiler

The game gets very tough at the end too, the last 'tough' boss took me like half an hour to pass (his first stage that is) and then the others were easy but if you played FFVII, you'll know what happens...

I liked the little action minigames in the game. Like destroying bullets with your sword, or even having some FPS action with a Shinra Sniper rifle. The mail that you constantly get from Zack's friends is also a plus and you can see the relationship that he had with his friends. It makes the game more sentimental I'll say and makes the characters more compelling.

I feel like making a second review and dedicating it for this game. It really deserves it.

Cheers.

Well I'm still a bit peeved about the limit break and summons being all random, but I can deal with it.  Just rather frustrating if the last enemy or boss has 200 hp left then suddenly you get an awesome power move that you could of used long ago finally shows up.  The missions are neat but seem more uneventfull then exploring a planet in Mass Effect.  Amazing visuals though.  I wish there was more exploring for it seems its battle map, CS, battle map, CS even in the main story.

I'm not sure why they have a menu system for the battle.  It should just be x for melee and so on.  The leveling up and matrial leveling is also rather random.  I was stuck at 9 for what seemed like ever at one point then the next two battles I got the 777 four times.

Anyways FF7 is a franchise now and all games like Crisis Core, the movie, and Dire of Cerebrus are part of it not just spin offs anymore, and that's cool in my book.

To be honest... my thoughts on this are not good.  I'm now playing solely for the storyline.  I don't even think I'd call this an RPG

I hate hack and slash games, I went into buying this not knowing at all that it would be this way.  All I knew was it was a game based on FF7 and that's all I needed to know.  I guess I was wrong though.  I buy FF games because they semi-fill my need for turn-based RPGs which are my favorite kind.  FF:CC has truely failed me... I can only hope the storyline makes up for everything else.

I actually cannot think on a battle system better than the one it has now. He's just one dude, totally different than the regular 7 parties vs 1 aspect.

Anyway the story is amazing, I liked it just as much as the original FFVII.

Cool, I think that the European one are like that also, I don't get why yours is like that.

Anyway I'm about to pass the game again on hard, but this time I'm trying to pass all the side missions and boy are they hard.
