Dark Sector Review Conspiracy - Apr.-12th-2008 0:48:33

Status: online 		I am still playing the game i will try to write up a review when i am done but quite a few reviewers have been to harsh on this game http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/darksector?q=dark%20sector

I think digital extremes did a fantastic job and though the multiplayer isn't much, the single player stands out enough to at least gather a 7.5. The visuals are good, the story is generally weak but majority of games have weak story lines. Gears had a weak story line but they didn't blow it out of proportion.

Some may have played and may not agree, would like to hear some other opinions

Status: online 		I rented it and I am playing through it right now.  So far, I've got to say it is reptitive, boring and too slow/clunky (in my opinion of course).

And if you are of the same mindset as DrPirate: yes, I have got the after touch ability.

Status: offline 		It is not repetitive, if you play the game on harder difficulties then you will see the careful balancing act that it not in any other game. Drake is repetitive. Any sports game is repetitive.
Are the finishing moves rad? Check
Is the Glave fun? Check
Is the gun Play fun? Check
Are the graphics next gen? Check
Is the characters a Marcus Fenix or Cloud clone? x

Status: online 		Yeah, the finishing moves are pretty cool.  But it doesn't save the game from being a letdown.  And i have to disagree.  From what I've played, it is repetitive (but it may very well change in later levels).

Well once you stop fighting humans (sorry if i spoiled it for you but i figured you should know this already) it changes a bit. Also when you get other glave powers

Status: online 		I liked it, but everyone has their own thing in a game.

As much as I enjoyed the ride (And I did give it back since I didn't deem it worth keeping), I can see how someone would find the game boring.

To each their own, a game appealing to hardcore fans of a certain genre and not others is the definition of a 7-8 game.
