Imo i think Re 5 will be better, Dead space looks generic and boring.

Status: online 		Dead Space does have me very intrigued.  Not sure if it's enough to warrant a purchase but it's at least a rental. 

I'll see about RE5 when it is here.

Status: offline 		I think both are interesting, although, Dead Space is something more to my liking.  I have to admit, I haven't play an RE game since 3 so I don't know what I could be missing.  Dead Space just seems more creative and not leaning on the tired history of the numerous games in the series.  DS may not be the most original, but it looks a hell of a lot scarier then any RE game I've ever seen.

Status: offline 		Actually, Dead Space is growing on me. The fact that their Lullaby trailer from E3 (just watched said trailer) actually managed to send a chill down my spine, which is unheard of from games or films - let alone trailers - I might actually have to put this higher up the food chain that Resi 5. While Resi 5 will, no doubt, be an awesome game, I'm excited by the prospect of a game that might actually creep me out. That alone is an amazing commendation.
