Yeah I was week lvl 19 Temple Knight and had no Soul Arrows at the time I had to do it the hard way lol. But I brought him down. Woooot

I still have no magic or "faith" I am tanking up my current guy.  I just tried to kill the orange dragon next to the blue dragon using bolts, but once it got done to 25% health it flew away, and I managed to find a spot where the blue dragons tail couldn't hit me right away, so I was able to get Ring of Giant Strength.  But I was pissed because I assumed that the orange dragon was the same one that harassed you while trying to get to the Tower Knight.  So I figured I would go that way and restock on bolts form the dude under the bridge, but I locked on the dragon...and he had full health, I was upset.

You can't kill the red dragon where he's next to the blue dragon; he'll just fly away. You can kill him on the bridge, on your way to the tower knight. Climb the first bridge tower and attack from there. You'll get 7,000+ souls, and you will no longer have to put up with running.

The boss in 2-1 is incredibly easy.

I knew you could kill him on the bridge, but I assumed that I could kill him while he was chillin' by the other....Oh well, I just used nearly all the bolts I got from playing the game (killing the crossbowmen that is)... next time it will be bridge work.

@barrreldragon...Every time I see that someone has invaded my game I find a corner and just chill with my shield up... I mean why would I bother going about my business when there is someone who can just attack me while I am fighting badguys.  It was funny the third time because after the second time I turned around and decided to go back to the nexus and use the souls I had before I continued with my game, and as soon as I got to the stone someone invaded my game.  And as I turned around I saw him running away looking for me, and if it wasn't for my armor I would ran up behind him critical hit with his back to me, but I soon got his attention and kicked is butt.

The cloud comes from when you equip something that lessens the range in which enemies can see you early on its the "Theifs Ring" and the next is when something increases the resistance of an element... for example,  a ring that increases fire resistance. From the manual the first means "Harder for enemies to detect you character" and the second means "Condition where the character's stats have increased."

O man this is good info thanks. I had no clue that your could bring down the Red Dragon on the Bridge. Only thing is that he is flying and flying fast. I did not think that I could get a lock on him due to how fast he was flying. Should I use Heavy Cross Bow or stick to Soul Arrows?

Here is a little tip for beating the Red Eyes.  This is after you have that door open to the stairs to the left of the main entrance.  Kill everyone within that stair case (leave the two barrels who are next to each other DON'T BREAK THEM), and to the left of the stair case (where that death pit is), go on top of the wall with the catapaults and kill all whom are up their, and then apporoach the red eye but don't engage him.  Draw him all the way to the stair case and go past the two barrels that are next to each other in the middle of the walk way, and go a little bit farther on the next walk (the one with the railing) stand there and wait for the red eye to get to the barrels... he will do one of two things, either attack the barrel to get by it, or if you do it right he will try to attack you but step over the side and fall all the way to the bottom of the steps and die.  Then again some times he doesn't die on the first fall so draw him back up and get back behind him and repeat until he is dead.   If that doesn't work or is too hard, try and draw him all the way down the stairs and bring him to the death pit that is next to the stairs on the outside, and just walk around the pit always keeping him on the other side, and wait for him to try and attack you and he should fall, you'll get the 2000 souls but not the 3 grasses. Keep doing that while killing everyone before crossing the bridge, and you should get plenty of souls.  But it will take many, many tries.  Good luck and what not.

If you started out as a Royal, you'll get the Soul Arrow automatically. You can buy magic and miracles in the Nexus. You need Magic and Intelligence at 10 I believe. You will also need a catalyst or something like that to cast your magic. You can find it in 1-2 (the bridge heading towards the Tower Knight. It's on top of the second bridge tower. It's a wooden stick btw.

What I do is After i beat the Phalanx. I return to the nexus upgrade using whatever souls I have then I return to the castle. Next I go about beating everyone down accumulating a ton of Souls then i die in a spot that isnt difficult to return to. You cannot die again or this doesnt work. Next i rampage through all the spots the enemies return to then go and get my soul so the old souls are added to my current soul count. Its tedious as hell but its been paying of for me I can take a full blown breath from the red dragon. I basically do a lap,Die, repeat and so on.  Eventually you can get to the point where you can kill the Red Kinght pretty easy. He's worth 2000 plus so thats always good.
Again make sure you dont die in a place thats hard to get to. Dont run if you dont have to. Fight.

Now its my turn to plead for help.  I made it to the Tower Knight again (the first time I tried to fell him solo, but that wasn't happening) but I will be waiting in front of the boss fog with my blue stone out tomorrow, looking for a team up.  I will let this thread know what time tomorrow, if anyone that can help and is able to join me (not sure how many servers there are) it would be welcomed thanks.

it's actually easy to kill the tower knight... even solo (i solo''d everythng so far)... first, take out all the crossbowmen, but while doing that, watch out for the knights ranged attack. after all the bowmen are dead, head back down to the knight, get close to him, avoid what attacks he sends, and get behind his legs and start hacking. watch his movements, he'll jump backwards at times, damaging you if you are too close, and then he can finish u off when ur fallen infront of him.

How to learn new Magic and Miracles

After defeating Phalanx, 2 new NPCs appear in the Nexus.

The Disciple of God


He can be found in the area behind the Blacksmith Boldwin.
Teaches basic Miracles
Allows changing which Miracles are memorized
He disappears once Saint Urbain is rescued and takes his place


Freke's follower


He can be found in the area behind the World 5 archstone.
Teaches basic Magic if your stat is 10+ (otherwise he calls you a "brute" and ignores you)
Allows changing which Magic spells are memorized
He requests you rescue Sage Freke from imprisonment in Latria


You need to have 10+ Magic stat to learn magic spells, and 10+ Will stat to have slot(s) to remember a spell for use.


You need to have 10+ Faith stat to learn and use Miracles.
Also, take note of the number of slots required to equip each spell — some more powerful spells take 2 or 3 slots.

Need a little help in 2-2.  Up to this point I haven't had TOO much trouble.  Then I had to start fighting those worms that come out of the ground and those big bugs (the ones that look like really fat bees).  I CAN kill them, and have, but it takes wayyyy too long.  Is there a particular weapon that works well on them?  I'm playing as knight and have been focusing on melee, and my scimitar +6 and Bastard Sword +3 are barely scratching them.  I haven't worked on my bow too much, or used axes either.  Also haven't touched magic.  Should I?

Usually when melee doesn't work its magic. I use fire over magic arrows.  You need a catalyst for magic. I read above you find it in lvl 1-2 on the bridge toward the Tower Knight. If not get enchant for your weapon which doubles your attack temperarily.

Aim a soul arrow attack at the head of the worm (not the body). You'll kill it instantly.

Yes invest in at least a projectile magic attack. It'll go a long way.

Yes projectile magic is a huge help. But if you hurting you souls and cat get the Soul Arrow right away a good Heavy Cross Bow Will do do the trick as well. It will take one down in two to three shots.

I would like to know if anyone has heard of a glitch against the boss 3-1. I am able to kill her but after that nothing happens. Some deamons are suppost to pick me up when i walk tward the altar but it never happens. Ive beat her 4 times now co-op/ solo/ solo offline and tried again after i turned off the ps3 for and hour. Has anyone heard of this before or am i alone in this problem.

Where do you get that searching sword? I just said I hate spears man  But thanks for the tip.
I gotta say its nerve racking because immediately you start to worry if your too weak to defend yourself.

After you give the Red Hot Demon's Soul to Blacksmith Ed (after you beat Flamelurker), you have to go and beat Old Hero (2nd Boss at Shrine of Storms), and use his soul on a +7 eastern sword (A Scimitar works), and you get the Large Sword of Searching, which while doing massive damage also makes items drop twice as much.
