After you give the Red Hot Demon's Soul to Blacksmith Ed (after you beat Flamelurker), you have to go and beat Old Hero (2nd Boss at Shrine of Storms), and use his soul on a +7 eastern sword (A Scimitar works), and you get the Large Sword of Searching, which while doing massive damage also makes items drop twice as much.

im kinda busy getting stuff all ready and fall junk out of the way ... im not that far 'into' it like items and tricks hell ima re make my Wanderer since whats his face got killed in 1-2..got the key.. just he dead soo.. oh and i wasted a point in 'magic' ... so right there its worth a re roll lol.

ima do a Mage this time.. but still remake my Choppy.... luv the 2 hand swords..

I would like to know if anyone has heard of a glitch against the boss 3-1. I am able to kill her but after that nothing happens. Some deamons are suppost to pick me up when i walk tward the altar but it never happens. Ive beat her 4 times now co-op/ solo/ solo offline and tried again after i turned off the ps3 for and hour. Has anyone heard of this before or am i alone in this problem.

It's not a problem. There's a trick to beating this boss

Before you fight the boss, you're supposed to go up a tower with spiraling stairs. At the top you'll go down a long balcony way favoring the right side of the chapel. In there is a guy who says he's not doing anything................anything accept back the boss every friggin time you kill her. Kill him. Beat the boss. All should be well

There's a whole article on what certain Demon Souls will net you...whether it be magic, miracles, or weapons.

I am 710 at the moment and i have levelled up to high and am having issues with playing online with it now.. was ok at the 600 mark... should of stopped the farming.

noone is matching my level online..so it wont matchmake..

Anyways i am on the asian version import, waiting on the NA import, if anyone has asian version and has 650+ charcter i need some soulsuck...to remove some soul level.. let me know if u can help..and we will try a meet on a level liek shire of storms or sumthing..

Wow thank you very much not getting passed the boss killed the game for me but now im back all thanks to you. I would have never would have figured that out.

i'm class soldier but my levels are pretty even

i'd like to know what weapons/armour to upgrade?

What happens if you free Yurt and die fighting him when u come back to nexus who's the first NPC's he kills? Dose he not kill anyone for bit or dose he start killing soon as he get to nexus?


Or is he a easy fight? iv passed on him.. but need...err...want his gear..

I don't have an answer in regards to freeing and getting killed by him.

If you release him and allow him to live, you'll see two unnamed corpses in the Nexus (no one important dies yet). At this point, you better kill him quick before he goes after the NPCs on Mephistopheles' Assassination List. The following are targets in the order of assassination:

Saint Urbain and his followers
Sage Freke, the Visionary and his followers
Patches, the Hyena
Biorr of the Twin Fangs
Ostrava
Yuria, the Witch

If you wish to kill him for the Gloom armor, he's not that tough. He fights with a Shotel (50% Shield Penetration) and some dagger. His range of attack is about average (maybe a bit less), just keep a good distance and counterattack; you should do fine. Raising your Soul Level a bit more beforehand won't hurt either. I recommend going two-handed with your first attack for a head start. You shouldn't have too many problems if you circle around the fire pit for an environmental advantage. I advise carrying a Ring of Herculean Strength, in case the armor weight exceeds your current Item Burden.

Note: Killing him won't impact your game negatively.

It's up to you really, depending what you're comfortable with. Unless if you're aiming for the trophies, there are some weapons that don't require as many materials as others.

Edit: Get back to me on this, let me know how far you've progressed (Equip Burden, etc.) and I can recommend some good weapons along with optimal armor for you. I will always recommend getting a Sticky Compound Long Bow +5; excellent bow.

Any tips on how to beat the dragon god? I know I am supposed to go to the right smashing stuff as I go but I am always getting crushed by at least one of his fists no matter how carefully I go.

Wait until he turns his head, for starters. When he turns, run out, smash the debris, then run back to your cover. Wait until his eyes go back to Yellow before running out again.

Also to add a bit to this. A shield bash with a large shield destroys the debris in one shot. Otherwise if you want to take the conservative approach, use soul arrow if you have good aim.

 Just stay behind the pillars he wont see you and when he is looking away take a couple shots then back to pillar rinse and repeat   thats what i did  , just be patient and you'll be fine

You can also weapon push, at least with an axe, that will destroy debris.

okay, I got to the first harpoon. How can I tell where the fire is going to be sprayed? Is it as easy as just watching his head? Also, how do I weapon push? Is hitting with my sheild the same as parrying?

damn i am a thief and dont have enough strength to get the purple flame shield.
haha i didnt even kill the dragon to get the shield. i went back to 1-1 and both dragons weren't there so i stole the loot. =)
