umm... is there a way to get back to the nexus with my souls or do i need to beat a boss?
i've played almost 2 hours and i hardly got anywhere. i got to the 2nd fog door or something in the first world
but that's about it. i'm kinda glad we keep our loot after dying though.

also, how do you assign a slot for an item for quick use? i know you can assign the Square button
but i have a blank one for the Up direction button i can't figure how to assign.

by far the hardest game on the ps3 ever, the top unassign one is magicc. i havent gotten it yet so i cant tell u, the left/right d pad is weapons, summon souls (real players) to fight boss is a really good way of beating them. but u have to be alive to summon them

Also, Can you sell your loot ?? So far, I can only see buy option but no sell option.

BTW, died over 10 times from one of that guard with spear and i turned it off for day. He kills me with one hit :(

Eventually you get items to go back to the nexus although rare and coveted among players. Use the glowing swords placed at certain places in the level and yes usually after a boss fight.

You have to go into the menu and assign stuff for the quick slots.

You cannot sell your loot.

Physical moneyz has no quandary to squirrel. Just Demon Souls and seeing as the merchants are merchants and not soldiers they can't give you souls in return.

FYI, stop trying to beat him.  You likely won't at that point in the game, and you don't have to get passed him to finish the level. 

Just passing by to say: Watch out for this ****er, setting him free will kill some important NPCs which will cause you to get nerfed on the long run (until the next playthrough).

Ahh Yurt after freeing him I said to myself I want that helmet killed him then I discovered he will do bad things to the NPC's had he remained alive so it felt really nice that I killed him.

Whenever I am summoned to help someone kill the tower knight, I think I experiance a bug in the game.

I can be summoned at the beginning of the level, and fight my way through the whole level without hitch or sign of connections troubles.  We then fight the tower knight, and then knock him down, beat on his head, and then he gets up.  As soon as he gets up, a screen pops up saying "Session Ended."  It's clearly game related because there's literally been about 7 times where at the exact moment he is getting up I am disconnected.

Anyone else have this problem?  And anyone know of a forum where Atlus might be able to help?

How in the hell do you beat that BIG ASS knight in Boletaria? That thing decimated me.  Anyone beat the Old King yet? I've been Soul whoring for the longest and I'm still getting whooped.

Ok ive been playing my friends copy so i havent got that into it yet but i also kept dying at the @$$hole red knight with the spear.  some people say fight him others say your not suppose to fight him yet?  I picked the hunter if that matters.  I plan on playing again tonight.  any suggestions

Man the strategy i gave you(or Maddens i was confused) last night was according to my abilities as the knight. I know nothing about the hunter.  You have to remember to back dash(when he breaks your guard) and always be blocking.Eventually you'll catch him slipping. Especially when he goes to heal whack him with a heavy shot.
Also
Upgrade your shield as much as you can. The more you upgrade your shield the less likely anyone can break your guard.  This helps big time against that douche because almost all his moves break your guard. I'm not strong enough to risk trying to parry him so I havent tried. I've leveled a bunch of my stats (10000 souls ) and he's still hard. good luck bra. Get the game for yourself and join me in some fun later.

Ok cool well maybe i should go "soul whoring" before i take him on again.  LOL  and when i replied its maddens i was reffering to the game.  i can see how that was confusing, my bad.  yeah i plan on taking part of that deal toys r us has starting on oct 12 with the buy 2 get 1 free deal they have.  im gonna get UC2, Demon Souls and either sigma 2 or brutal legend.  kinda leaning towards ng2 tho.  GO TEAM NINJA!!!  Only thing that kinda sucks is starting oct 13th im gonna be in Drake mode for a good while!!!

Another note for the Red Knight get the fire spell 110pts dmg first unblocked shot. You need a wand to cast magic so keep a sharp eye out. The red knight is a side note so dont worry about him too much right away.

That red Knight.... .. . . . .... gaa... he got me the first time.. so second time i pulled him to the stair way with the 5? guys with torches and made him fall to his death lol ..that will teach him to follow me...


Oh and Make sure when you pull the one leaver in 1-1 you equip the "Cling ring" "Increases your Max HP in Soul Form by 40%"

You won't be able to beat Old King until you're actually ready and it takes awhile.

 

 Ok yes i would like some help first not as important but how do you wave or other hand jestures to other players when doing co-op?

Ok next one might have some SPOILERS so don't read unless you have gotten pasted the second part of the second world. I got lucky with the miners guys finding a pickaxe they dropped and was able to take them down easly, but now Im at the part where the lava slugs and beatles are and it takes me forever to beat them down. I heard that magic is the way to go with them but i'm a hunter and i'm not sure how to use magic. I found the shop guy and bought a spell but how do i use it? Am i not equiping it the right way or is there something i'm missing?

Oh and taking down the Red knight was very sweet it just took me 3 tries to do it.

i started a new game over again, but kept the same class because i used two of those soul things and lost them all from dying
so i want to get them back and keep them in inventory for use in the nexus evenutally.

the game is great though, i thought it was a hack and slash but it's pure tactics and punishment, lol

LOL It sounds so funny.
What I do is After i beat the Phalanx. I return to the nexus upgrade using whatever souls I have then I return to the castle. Next I go about beating everyone down accumulating a ton of Souls then i die in a spot that isnt difficult to return to. You cannot die again or this doesnt work. Next i rampage through all the spots the enemies return to then go and get my soul so the old souls are added to my current soul count. Its tedious as hell but its been paying of for me I can take a full blown breath from the red dragon. I basically do a lap,Die, repeat and so on.  Eventually you can get to the point where you can kill the Red Kinght pretty easy. He's worth 2000 plus so thats always good.
Again make sure you dont die in a place thats hard to get to. Dont run if you dont have to. Fight.

No you need what called a catalyst. Essentially a magic wand. I have no idea where I got it but that what you need to do spells. I havent figured out how to do miracles yet. F*&)ing wasted 5000 souls!
