This is my two cents in what I think creationism and evolutionism means.

Creationism - We are created by God or Buddha or whatever your beliefs are

Evolutionism - Life started after the Big Bang and we eventually evolved into Human

I'm with the evolutionism part. Where do you guys stand?

Well Creationism also believes the earth is only 4000 years old which I do not believe.  I believe in religion and I'm Christian myself but even the Pope said evolution is real

The last time, this topic went downhill quickly.

Evolution is the only one that makes sense, plus we've kind of proved it happened and is still happening.

I'm leaning more toward evolution. I used to follow a religion and have the same beliefs as my parents.

I know this might sound like persecution, but come on,are you serious?

There was no entity called earth before the Big Bang.

Creationism = belief with spiritual or religious connotations

Evolution = Scientific Theory which has stood up to over a century of scrutiny

I never understood why people can compare a belief with a scientific theory, they're completely too different things, and honestly I think it does 'creationists' a disservice to compare them in the first place

Looking at the evidence we have available currently, evolution seems to be the more correct choice, though I still am a religious person and believe in God.

I believe that the Trinity (The Father, the Son, The Holy Spirit) created everything in the Universe. When you really think about it actually makes a lot more sense that there is a creator.

The theory that everything just appeared randomly, and with a huge bang that came from Nowhere just doesn't make any sense to me. As a Christian I get into conversations about this with people from my church and those who have yet to saved by Jesus Christ.

Well really science and religion are both theories it's just that science is a government funded theoy.  Which is why both are compared from time to time

except that the big bang wasn't random and they were able to prove that such an act could have occured. Before the big bang, the universe was merely and empty abyss of simple elements.

Me neither, but it makes more sense than God making the earth in 7days, then someone knowing about it happening to write it in a book.

He(Odion) just answered above. And frankly, the theory of evolution does not have much to do with
The Big Bang. We are talking about human evolution aren't we. As such,a lot of criticism
can be thrown at religion's explanation of the human development theory. Even more than
at science.

Also,I would like to point out that Buddha does not form part of the pantheon of creationist gods.
It is a very incorrect statement.

I would also like to question Dmack on his faith in Jesus Christ.

As you put your faith in him and consider him as a saviour and your guide, would you be willing to impose this faith and
make a generalisation? by this I mean:Do you question other people with different beliefs' faith. Do you believe they are
going i the wrong direction praying different gods?

Well before we get into who's religion is right or wrong I think the basic theme is which of the two stated in the Title of the thread do you believe in.  Religion wars never end well mind you.
