i heard it was framerate issues, RAM issues, even disc space issues but not sure what to believe but it sucks we have to wait till Feb 09

No one knos why. But the official explanation from sony was they looke dat their 2008 line up and saw it could be moved. My guess is they don't want R2 to and KZ2 battling for shooter supremacy. However, there was some random site that interpreted it as KZ2 is afraid of gears of war 2

I think there were many reasons on why Killzone 2 was delayed, Guerrilla being a semi- mediocre developer, Sony not wanting Killzone 2 to compete with their big titles in the same launch period ex: Resistance 2 and MGS4. It did disappoint me a bit that Killzone 2 did get delayed, but after I found out it will be released in February (my b-day

) it doesn't sting so hard.

Well we've known the release date of Gears for a few months now...if Sony knew it had to be delayed then they would have annouced it then. Why the hell would they do at such a big event? If they annouced it last month it would be old news..and then the gameplay videos would have meant something.

It's probably just more problems and it needed some more time, but at least we now know to never trust Sony with a release date.

Well i SERIOUSLY doubt gears will slip due to its importance. Whether or not that will mean a worse game, we will find out in in a couple of months.

Games like too human, alan wake, Fable will be dancing all over the place with their release dates

Actually we've been hearing release dates for KZ2 since last year, it was suppose to be out already with a beta in the fall, then it got moved to the fall, with their PR guy saying at GDC that it was still coming out this year.

I am not seeing Alan Wake coming out this year.

Too Human, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, and BK3, is def enough first party for the holiday season from MS

Aside from "2008" do those games have release dates? All I heard was Fable sometime in the summer.

They've always given vague released windows for KZ2 and saying things like "we're aiming for...", feb 09 is the first official release date from Sony.

Unlike Sony, MS rarely give shaky released dates which is good but tend to make people impatient.

Yea some of them will make it this yr but not all. Fable will get pushed back to fall or autumn. Too hman was supposed to be out in May. think that was the last release date i heard but we all know thats not happening. The thing is release dates on games are a little tricky. A game like fable won't be out till its perfect and BK3 already said they are targetting december that already tells me to look for 2009

Your ability to make good graphics doesn't make you a good developer.

Look at Nintendo or Blizzard, both are medicore graphics but the best gameplay.

Then look at ID in the last 5 years, the Doom 3 engine was bomb, Doom 3 was not

Agree with odion, graphics don't equal good game. I really do think KZ2 will be a good game though. Might not be greatest shooter of all time but majority of sites will give it a 9. They can't just rip off COD4 though, they have to try to come up with some things of their own. I really do hope they succeed would suck to fvk up so many times despite the huge budget and crazy support sony is giving them. With the new visuals i think it will silence the critics for a while but the game really does look amazing i just hope they are working on the gameplay just as hard as they are working on the visuals.

why would kz2 be afraid of a guy thats in ut3 gow and every game that company makes.it got pushed back because r2 cause if they bought them both out like a month apart they would battle and thats aint good for the company.that like putting halo4 out the same day as bio shock2.

Killzone 2 was delayed cuz i called sony to tell them i wont have enuf money to buy both Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 and they said that microsoft sucks so thats why they delayed the game....

I don't see what's taking them so long, or how people can say it sucks.

It's essentially Call of Duty 4 in the future with a cover system.

With really, really, really, really pretty graphics.
