Doesnt Microsofts Overadvertizing Annoy You?
Its starting to annoy me, a couple of sites that i regularly visit how now changed there theme to Ninja gaiden, so theres a big Ninja Background and the ads aroud the side are ninja gaiden. It makes the sites look very unattractive.
And lots of busses around my area had xbox 360 ads on the sides, they dont really annoy me because of the way it looks its just that the huge ammounts of money they waste when it clearly doesnt work that good. there must be a more important thing to spend money on

Not as much as the convoluted Sony Ads. I mean really they need to fire all there marketers and start over. Though MS really likes to hype all products

there TV ads are ok,
sonys ads were crap, expecialy the UK ones. but there new ones are good they just put in gameplay and music now, they make the games look good but they are never on, i saw the MGS4 one it looked good, so did the GT5 one

Yes ads that show the game and gameplay are great, but the ones that put in weird messages that no one gets... not so much lol.

I'm okay with the ads, it's more the attitude they project ("you must own this or you are lame") that bugs me.

there was a Haze ad in the UK that took a quote from FHM that read "it doesn't get any better"

Hahahaaa that was really funny. Anyway, for the past 2 months I havent seen more than 1 advert of xbox 360. That one was rock band. But they seem to be very very quiet.

At least Microsoft makes a conscious effort at advertising. I dont know what the hell Sony is up to with their ads.

I get that feeling from Mac commercials more than Microsoft ones. Actually, I don't remember seeing any MS/360 ad for a while now.

if sony advertised their good games like microsoft they will sell much much more than they do now, because they dont really advertise now and game sales are starting to pick up even though they dont advertise

There are far more things about MS that are worse than ads.

Ads are a necessary evil... for any company that wishes to promote or sell a product.

Seriously though, the fact that the world's most hated company can introduce a console with one of the worst failure rates known to mankind, and somehow not completely fail, brings about questions as to the state of the gaming industry nowadays.

As for the "socially challenged" part... are you much of an authority on that? Just saying...

If you take a sample from the n4g main site's comments sections in the most popular threads, you will find 67% more irrational ps3 fanboy comments than 360 ones and if you analyze those comments you will find many sings of major psychological disorders.
