ORIGINAL: Ben1054 why are they saying its dead, Ubidays is exactly the same but its only them there You obviously didn't watch E3. Capcom's E3 was a Lost Planet movie Q&A EA thinks they can do it themselves at their own press conference. Konami's was horrid and didn't announce new games Microsoft used E3 to show their casual attack on Nintendo and then just showed off all the games they already announced Nintendo says E3 isn't for core gamers anymore. They also didn't announce new games and basically let EAD 2 show off. All the games were from one development team and they didn't show Pikmin or Wario despite announcing them Wii Sports 2 = Wii Motorsports + other stuff anounced in 2006 Wii Music = Wii Music announced in 2006 Animal Crossing = Animal Crossing announced in 2006 So they basically finally got out information on all the games based on E3 2006 tech demos and didn't show anything else. Square Enix used E3 to talk about Final Fantasy on Xbox 360, and didn't show any games. Ubisoft showed off its current lineup but didn't announce new games, and they already have Ubidays so they probably won't go next year So yeah Microsoft and Nintendo used E3 to show off "casual" games to the media and the other companies I mentioned either didn't do anything at E3 or can't be bothered to go next year. So yeah I'd say its pretty dead. What would E3 be like without Capcom, EA, Konami, Microsoft, Nintendo, Square Enix, and Ubisoft? It'd just be a Sega and Sony press conference that's what.
