Well my 3rd Xbox 360 gave me an E74 screen just as I was about to play Bad Company, which is a great game by the way! The shop technician is not 100% sure of a permanent fix, and that being the case, I'm stuck with another useless machine. I am aware of 3 year warranty but Microsift do not officially sell in Thailand where I Iive, we get grey imports from Hong Kong, which means no warranty for us.

So, in a calm manner as not to initiate a flame war, I am through with this current MS machine. No more 360's. Even my wife is pissed off about this and she is usually very calm.

You know I read N4G almost everyday and recently there was an open letter to Japan about why do they hate the 360. Well the answer is obvious and simple, it just doesn't inspire confidence, does it? I have spent a lot of money in less than 2 years on a defective product which the manufacturer denies is defective.

I will never buy MS machines again.

Peace.

Heh... It happens to the best of us. And the worst. Consoles break down often, and the 360 has a habit of doing it more than often, but that's no reason to say you'll never buy another of Microsoft's consoles ever again. I mean, that's a little overkill isn't it? Each to his own, of course, but I think you should just let Microsoft prove themselves with their next console.

hopefully you've learned your lesson. never buy another xbox console again. you can't trust them and besides, why would you want to support them? they're like EA but worse. they want to buy everything and downgrade it to DVD size. they're stuck on last gen.

That is because you don't understand what RRoD really is. You'll never get rid of it. It isn't a defect. It is a way of life.

I do know what RROD is.  That's why I go to the gym four times a week to keep my blood pressure in check.  I also carry a defibrillator in my trunk.

That's why Wii is the best console this gen.  Wave your body in stupidity.

New masturbation game coming for the Wii soon.  It's called Wii Beat.

Some of you have actually cheered me up! Thanks guys!

The Corrupt - With all due respect, don't you think three consoles going blink is a bit too much in itself???

Grantps3 - I own all 3 playstations mate! I didn't mention it due to potential fanboy accusations.

Pharmd - Machines as in hardware, looks like we are stuck with the software!!!

Maddens Raiders - Brilliant pic mate. I love Next gen star trek. In fact, my wife says I look like Picard so ur pic was even funnier!!!

I really loved playing the 360 and I will miss it, I just can't afford to pump another 15,000 Baht into a consistently poor machine.

    Peace.

that sucks man, i feel for you.  It's been one of the reasons why I never went with a 360.  I do prefer the playstation brand, but there were games I enjoyed on the XBOX and would have liked to play.  I know when it comes to electronics, anything can go at anytime.  But the problems with the 360 are ridiculous.  I honestly cannot believe a bigger deal hasn't been made of this.  If this were the case with an LCD t.v., there would be nightline and other shows talking about how a company can mis treat the consumers and horror stories of all the money spent.  But since it's a gaming machine, people outside of gamers don't know too much about it.  Many people are aware of it, but not too much (especially since MS has never come out and said, "the reason for rrod is this and this....; there has been speculation, but nothing said publicly) There are games I want to play on the 360, but I don't know when i'll play them.  At this rate, I may never.

My sympathies mate. Good luck with selling your games and controllers. I hope you can get a fair bit of money back.

This is exactly why I couldn't bring myself to buy one. Too many stories like this. It's a real shame because my computer has a pentium 4 so despite my decent RAM and GPU, my PC never plays games like I could on a 360.

see this is how I know your lieing, if you've have 3 Xboxes brick on you I am pretty sure you would know that an E74 just means a cable is loose, it doesn't mean the system is broken at all, I get the E74 once and awhile, I just turn the system off and make sure all of the cable are in all the way, and like magic it works again.

That's rather amusing if it's true.

E74 is an AV cable problem or a system hardware problem, I had it and considering I wasn't using AV it must have been a problem.

But I went to gamestation, I told them it had died and they gave me a new one straight away for nothing.

    PS. Don't hurt me odion.

Yeah I looked it up and it can apparently be due to failings of the internal electronics around the AV port. If the technician couldn't find any way of fixing it, he probably tried checking whether it was plugged in properly....

    PS. Do your worst Odion.

Damn you! Hey atleast I'm not scared of my 360 breaking, they said that if it does then I should bring it in and they'll replace it right away.

PS. You're lucky I'm in a good mood 'cos we got ourselves a new top striker to partner Mr. Torres.
