Will any of you actually import it? I don't know why people prefer the original voices when they don't understand it? I mean even if FF13 will have english subtitles, you'll be too busy reading the damn subs to notice something that happens really subtle or fast. Plus, the voices are so weird. Lol, not even normal japanese people sound like the females in the FF games.

    

I'm importing it. Getting it in time for Christmas, in fact. Of course, I'm exempt from any language barrier but that's beside the point. I'm hoping that, since the English vocal work is done anyway, there'll be an option to have the English vocals like in Bayonetta.

getting it from japan, U.S and UK. just because UK will get shafted and we'll have to wait like 8 months...

 

Now, that's what I wanted to know. Will there be english options in the game? That's the only reason I see for importing.

Original voices always sound better than their american counterparts. They have so much more enthusiasm in them.

If there are subtitles, I may consider doing this.

Well, I'll be getting both the Japanese and American versions soley for the fact that the American version will no doubt have extra stuff in it that the Japanese version won't.

They've been adding extra content to American FF for years, you know the weapons in FFVII?  They weren't in the original they added them to the US release because they said that American gamers need more challenge.

Nah... It's just that they rebalance the game for the American release, making some bits easier while making other bits harder in an attempt to make the game balanced and less erratic. They add in extra bosses, areas and whatnot due to the extra development time they have (as an incentive for Westerners to buy the game as opposed to import the Japanese version early as well as a testing field since they've got time to waste while the translation is being worked on) - all of which is re-added to the Japanese games under the new title of "International Version".

The problem is that, with the dramatically reduced translation periods, they add less and less to the games. It's why FFXII is almost identical between versions, hence the International Zodiac Job System being Japan-only. Under normal circumstances, Americans would've had that version first. But the reduced spare time meant they couldn't implement it.

Europe was treated to the international version of FFX though weren't we? That's how long it took.

Anyway FF owns Japan for these next three months(four if you want to count KH in the FF umbrella) with FF Gaiden this month, Crystal Bearers next, FFXIII in December and KH: BBS in January.

I blame toughNAME for FFXIII's 2010 US-Eu releasedate. :)

I'm not importing.. will just wait for the enhanced version
