Fallout 3 GOTY Edition - Wednesday, October 14, 2009 11:54 PM
Now I know this is a "old" game, but this is the first time I got it. Thats why I got the GOTY Edition. I LOVE THIS GAME! I don't know why but this is probably my favorite game now. Now there are the obvious facts of why I would like it to be my favorite, but theres just something about it that I love. So if you waited (purposely or not) to get the GOTY Edition, or bought it on release day, respond with moments you remember from Fallout 3. Whether it be glitches or Fallouts kind of humor we all love.

Fallout 3 is my second favorite game of this gen. One my favorite moments was discovering the secret of Andale.

I agree Zach. I also just got Fallout 3: GOTY edition at the same time I picked up Uncharted 2 and playing these 2 gems of games is awsome.

But as soon as I started playing Fallout 3, somehow it reminded me of Oblivion. And that's a good thing since that game was awsome as well.

Fallout 3 is my favourite game of all time, i kid you not, i have all the latest and greatest games, a great pc to run them, and i also have all the old classic games, BUT fallout 3 tops them all, there aren't enough RPG's, especially western ones, and i think fallout 3 opened the doors to alot of people who had never even played RPG's, as well as showing the greedy publishers that they don't need to pump out FPS remakes until the end of time

COMING RIGHT UP:

Dragon Age Origins!! (applause)

Mass Effect 2!!!! (applause)

Diablo 3!!!! (louder applause)

This really deserves to be GOTY this year. I bought it launch day on 360 and it is in my xbox right now (just played it the other day). I've gone through the game two times, on my third doing evil karma and this time I'm trying to get the rest of the achievments. I'd rather have another fallout game made than another elder scrolls.

Silly you Modern Warfare 11 has been pushed up to q1 2012, you know to hype the release of Modern Warfare 10 which releases two weeks after Modern Warfare 11.

Either way I rather have another Elder Scrolls then Fallout provided they fix those ugly ugly faces, maybe because after Borderlands I'd be skipping every post apocalyptic themed game I see.

I find the theme boring to be honest I'm more of a medieval style kind of guy.

so you can tell how semi-heart broken I was that the Witcher game for consoles got put on hold at least it's not downright canceled it means there is still some hope for me.

B Man

This really deserves to be GOTY this year.

I would have to agree!    Fallout 3 GOTY should get GOTY for 2009 as it is the best game to come out this year.  Just started playing a new round and I'm trying hard to stay away from Megaton as long as I can.  I'm using a Springvale dumpster for all my treasures and the school next door to sleep   Just gonna wander around aimlessly hunting out skill books and what not.

I do have to say even though I played this game a heck of a lot I still found a new area I never been before and it was an unmarked spot.  It's a Gypsy Campsite just north of Vault 106 and had 3 skill books there and a combat shotgun!  Seeing that I just had a bat and a 10mm gun I was happy to find that lol

You should just blow megaton up. That guide book quest is a pain and if you blow it up you get a megaton of caps, plus one of the tenpenny tower suites will become your home. Much nicer than the shack you get in megaton. You will become very evil though. :)

Yeah I've played either way on that.  Which is why I'm holding off even entering there.  I don't mind the Wasteland Survival Guide Quest but even if I do blow it up Myra survives and goes to the Ghoul hot spot at the Museum.

Plus you can lie your way thru the whole book and get a few speech wins for your troubles.  With all the dlc I doubt I'll have trouble getting 50 of those speech wins but it's always good to get em where you can.

Still before I would blow it up I would want to finish up all the quests you can get from there and the bobblehead

Fallout 3  was good,  but the  original 1  and 2  make fallout 3 look like garbage

I really wouldn't go that far.  I've played those as well and all 3 are epic.  Though I can understand how some dislike the 3rd because it wasn't Black Isle Fallout 3 version, but still in the end thumbs up for all.  I did play the Van Buren demo and it was decent but frankly I'm somewhat glad of the reboot it got.  The birds eye view gameplay is alright but I do like the new aspect for sure.

Compare fallout 1 or 2 it makes fallout look look horible ,

I like Bethesda  but they really dumbed down fallout 3 for the casuals  just like they dumbed down oblivion

Iff you played fallout 1 2 3 you would know the onley thing fallout 3 beats fallout 1 or 2 is graphics and gameplay

dont even get me started on how many thing fallout 1 or 2 beats fallout 3

at least black isle is helping Bethesda on  fallout new vegas, maybe Bethesda will get fallout this time right instead off another oblivion with guns

lol sorry it is not Oblivion with guns but hey I guess I can't change your own opinion   In my view the quests, world, atmosphere, dialog, npcs, followers, main story were solid and on par with the Fallout games.

I do agree with you on the fact that New Vegas should be awesome!

but yeah anyway go Fallout from any year
