So i bought fallout 3 goty edition last week, partly because i wanted to try out the dlc and i also havent got round to getting uncharted 2 yet

i started it up new game, it crashes straight away, restart it, start up mothership zeta finish that which goes fine, then do point lookout was fine again. Enjoyed both

then i started the pitt and the problems start, screen tearing, crashsing, freezes, slow down, glitches everywhere, sound issues. I know that fallout 3 is a big game but this is beyond a joke i have had to start my ps3 (original 60 gig) several times over now and it is just getting plain silly.

Anyone else had issues like this?

Dude, im sorry. Fallout 3 is a total waste of time.
can i please tell you that i was mid way into the story which isnt even that good by the way & I got glitched. All my back up save files got glitched too.
 
No way was i gonna start all over traveling thru tunnel after tunnel on the most boring experience ive had with a highly rated game. I couldnt believe it. Fallout 3 may be more glitchier than farcry 2.
 
I loved oblivian. I spent hundred of hours just soaring thru the woods and mountains. I bought every single piece of dlc for it but Fallout 3? I cant even continue on.
I let it go. I traded it and i never trade games. Along with farcry 2 which is another open world game that has so many problems and suffers the same monotone story delivery.
 
All i can tell you is fallout 3 can give you game ending problems at any point during the entire game. All you can do is hope 1 of your save files can make it bro.

i too enjoyed oblivion, bought the goty edition when that came out too so i could play shivering isles. it is ridiculous though what they have done with fallout 3, i like the game and the gameplay but i wouldnt have mind waiting another month for them to fix problems just like this, guess they wanted to get it out before modern warfare 2 and not have to bother releasing it into the already crowded q1 2010.

Wish i had waited for tekken 6 or got uncharted 2 instead, shame really can't afford loads right now and i wanted something that would give me longevity, but what is the point of longevity if i cant play the game with constantly having to reset my ps3? which could possibly damage it in the long run

Fallout 3 on the PlayStation has never been a success in terms of glitches, I would expect no less of Bethesda to **** up the expansions too. Good show.

I've had no trouble with The Pitt but I barely was able to make it threw Point Lookout cause I could play for 5-10 mins then right on time my ps3 would freeze and Id have to switch off the power totally and restart from the save i made.

Look at my previous post for a quick fix.

Im having a problem on Mothership Zeta. I get abducted, it cuts to the part where there operating on you and it freezes. One of the aliens are moving just slightly though, and if i hold Triangle there is a sound like opening a vault door. I did get through once and I died almost instantly as you load up with the girl in the room.
