Favourite Pizza? - Jul.-9th-2008 8:28:35

Status: offline 		In my life I have one culinary sin, and that is a love for Pizza. I love Pizza of all types, shapes and sizes, but my personal favourites are BBQ Meatlovers Pizza, Ham & Pineapple and a local gourmet Pizza called Hawkesbury (it has sweet chilli sauce, avocado, chicken and prawns on it).

However there's one Pizza I wish to try before I die and that is Chicago style Deep-Dish Pizza, but I haven't found anyplace in Sydney that makes it, so i'm thinking about trying to make one myself sometime, but I have no idea where to start

Anyways, what's your Favourite Pizza? please share! the more exotic the better

Status: offline 		Chicago you say?  Was it Giordano's by any chance?  That has the best deep dish if you ask me.  I'm kind of plain with my pizza though green peppers, pepperoni, and extra cheese

Status: offline 		i dont go over the top with my toppings (no pun intended) but i love pizza from a place downtown baltimore, although it is a chain, but sitting over the harbor outside eating good UNOs pizza with just pepperoni is about as good as it gets for me, beautiful weather, breeze and the best pizza ive ever tasted....

not sure about their other locations because one other UNOs i had wasnt as good but maybe its the whole atmosphere that makes it what it is....

MMMM...MMMM

i might have to head down there

    Yes, Giordano's deep dish is awesome.  Many ppl recommend Gino's East for deep dish but Gino's has been inconsistent for me.  One time I went, the crust was cornmeal-based and I was like, WTF?!  One of my gf's cousins used to live in Chicago and I know he has had deep-dish mailed out to him down here packaged in dry ice.  I don't know how well pizza will travel to Sydney but it may be worth investigating.

    Chicago-style deep dish supreme is my favorite but I'm cashed after 1 or 2 slices cuz it's so thick.  Yum 

    EDIT:

    I checked on the online ordering and both Gino's East and Giordano's do the mailorder pizza but unfortunately their FAQs state that they do not ship worldwide

    Status: offline     		My favorite's Ham and mushroon, but I'll eat any Pizza and, most of the time, make them from stratch.
    I'll  go think crust over thik but, once again I'll eat both.

    Edit: Since I'm from New york(not from NYC but been there many times), New York Pizza is awesome. I do want to have real chicago pizza though(I have also wanted to visit Chicago for sometime as well so I would definitely try it out if i ever go).

    Status: offline     		i too have a love for all pizza; but i tend to not go too crazy with the toppings.  I also ended up loving the pizza from California Kitchen Pizza (i think that is the name); i was skeptical, but man, was it good  ..... i'm hungry now

    A original Margarita pizza ... from Lombardi's on Spring St in New York City.  Best.. by far.  There is a local pizzeria here called Old Chicago pizza.. really good deep dish.. pizza you eat with a knife and fork.. good stuff.
