My friend just got the beta for MAG and i was gonna download it off his account. But my question is even if i played while he was offline would the beta still work for me?
I dont wanna download it then he gets a 24 hr lock on it.

I'm not sure tbh.
I didn't have a 24 hour lock on all my accounts.
However, Ive heard from others that they did.
It's strange.
I believe there is, because it's a beta after all.

Yes it would work perfectly fine. My friend got the MAG beta from his friend, and it works fine for him. Hope that helps mate.

You can not game share the MAG beta. If you download it and play, you will lock the original owner out for 24 hours, then after 24 hours if he gets on first you will be locked out for 24hrs etc etc. Just go to your local gamestop and put a $5 deposit down on a MAG preorder and get a beta key.
Regarding the 3gig update---- It is actually the game file you are downloading plus all the updates that have been released since beta launch. Servers are pretty quick though, just be patient
