I honestly can't see this being too well received. Very minimal improvements over previous entries in the series are often criticised. Here it seems as though the gameplay is exactly the same. I find it amazing that we STILL have devs trying to promote a "great new feature" in their game like a new weapon or vehicle, as though we haven't seen this kind of stuff before. Graphics are nowhere close to Killzone 2. I don't know why this is being hyped up as a graphical powerhouse, when to be honest, it looks about standard for this gen. Blood effects don't look quite right, animations can look weird at times (because the otherwise decent animations don't fit in/adapt to every scenario), and there are aliasing and lighting/shadow issues when you view HD screenshots. Good-looking game, but about standard.

The game looks better than the CG in the previous games, and kratos is even more angry and brutal than ever Maybe is not much an improvement and the graphics aren't killzone quality but i dont care, even my GF love God of War games

So if you don't care so much about the graphical quality, how are you getting value for money with GoW3?

I do understand where you are coming from thor but you have to think that the reasoning is that people just want more of the same when it comes to God of War.
What do you mean I don't have a life? I'm a gamer, I have tons of lives.

For the same reason that informed gamers buy Halo ODST day one and don't felt like it was a ripoff, i'm a God of War fanboy and i need to kill the damn Zeus.

So if you don't care so much about the graphical quality, how are you getting value for money with GoW3? The God of War collection is only 39.99 I thought. Besides, the things that made God of War so great is the story-telling, battle sequences and epic scale of it all. They've increased the epic-scale of things in this iteration, as well as continuing a story that many MANY people want to see the conclusion of. The graphics do look better than their PS2 counter-parts and even the updated HD versions aren't on par. Sometimes, more of the same with just enough to make it even more interesting without detroying what made the series great to begin with is the right way to go with a sequel.

@bahamut Thanks for the video. GoW3 will be incredible. Regarding if GoW3 is more of the same, I dont see what is the problem when that "same" means unparalleled gameplay. I guess is wrong for Sony's games keep using the same gameplay right? When GoW1 arrived it was touted one of the best game on any platform. The transition to GoW2 kept the SAME gameplay but with some slight improvements in the combat, platforming mechanics and some more boses, the core gameplay mechanic remained unchanged and GoW2 was even better than GoW1. I expect something in the lines to happen with GoW3. Improved combat, awesome story, EPICNESS, more bosses, more blood and incredible visuals. Cant wait for GoW3.
