I download all demo's. It's free and doesn't take too long to download. I'll always give something a go, there's no harm in it really. The worse case scenario is you don't like, you delete it and don't buy it.

I've played GRID before (at the play.com live event) and it's a good racer. Graphics look nice, the driving mechanics are just right (ie, not a sim, but not too dumb) and in my opinion should be a solid game. I'd expect that you wont be too dissapointed!
