ORIGINAL: Chacron you're missing the point. There WILL be people for whom the advert will be the first indication of a next gen GTA4 (the hard core, most of the 15 million people who bought the previous GTA's) If they only see the 360 logo at the end of the advert; what are they going to think? I dunno maybe microsoft paid for it? Like i said go into game stores you see the ps3 version right there, if you want to buy it for ps3 you do if you want to buy for 360 you do. 360 version and ps3 version will be standing next to each other and i am sorry i don't see why a 2 second msoft logo at the end of the commercial will change that fact. If they make mention of the exclusive DLC during that 2 sec commercial it could make a minor difference. quote:
ORIGINAL: TwissT I think this will work because this causes people into thinking that GTA4 is exclusive. I had the same scenario with my friend, he liked Assassin's Creed and then he saw the 360 logo at the end and he said I guess I am getting a 360, but then my friend told him it was also for Ps3 so he got it for that instead. So yeah this strategy is very good for convincing the less informed people out there (casual gamers) to get it for a certain system, just like the 360 and GTA4. My point exactly. If he thinks it is 360 exclusive he goes into the store and voila he see's a ps3 version. Why anyone would think a game which basically got its legs on playstation won't be coming out on the playstation 3 is beyond me. The price is the only thing that plays in microsoft favor. Players who can't afford a ps3 will go for the arcade without realizing it is 200 pounds bucks when you factor in GTA4 then you fork over more cash to pay for live before realizing you have no hard drive and by the time you buy that, you have essentially paid more than you would have if you had bought the ps3. That isn't even factoring a blu ray player
