Man, O Man....I can't believe it. I finished the game 100% completion on May 14th and was waiting for the DLC to arrive. Now at this point if it is anything short of a Vice City or San Andreas type add on. It is a no sale for me. By that time I will have LBP and Gears 2...Let's see if this 50 Mill was worth it or if MS and/or R* screwed the pooch.

SOURCE

It is on N4G so take it with a grain of salt...

It is?  Says who?  you don't count by the way

Hmmm well if it's delayed then it means it was a bigger project then they first thought it was    right?  right?!

You should had gotten the superior version on the Wii noob!

I'm already playing in Afghanistan with a man named Arub Hassaf.

Anyway, I doubt it'll be a new super huge island, seriously Vice City is just as long as this one and San Andreas is way bigger than this one so i'll be dammed if it's a DLC as big as the game. Hard to believe really.

What difference does it make? It could very well be a new city though since they are taking their time with it...but i am still skeptical

I bet 5$ space bucks the DLC is just missions and maybe new "activities" to do in the city.

when is their Q1 fiscal year anyway?

I'm gonna wait until E3 for more information though, hopefully they will have more to say then.

Q1 Fiscal is Dec 08 -March 09.  Not a good time to be releasing it IMO with all the heavy hitters coming out around this time.

Anything short of a new island with a LOT more story is not worth me swapping this out for 360 version.

The downloadable content being delayed could be a good thing. For all we know, it would be bigger than it was originally planned.

The only thing is that once the engine is finished it hasn't taken them that long to build a new game after words, at least compared to the dev time of the first. The release dates went like this...

GTA III, October 2001
GTA Vice CIty, October 2002
GTA San Andreas, October 2004

Even with that said though I am still thinking it will be more missions and activities. The only reason I hold out any hope is the $50,000,000. Of course there is no telling how much of this was to secure the title to the 360 in the first place. On top of that it would really have to break the mold of traditional DLC to be anything major beyond a little extra content. I guess we can only wait, but like I said by the time this comes out I will be playing a ton of Little Big Planet and Gears of War 2 so it won't matter to me as much. Just really hard to say at this point if the secrecy is a bad thing or a good thing...not a single bit of info yet.

Honestly... at this point, I'm thinking Saints Row 2 will be better than anything this "awesome" DLC is going to be.  Sounds like the devs of SR2 played GTA4 before anyone else and realized there actually isn't that much to do in the damn game.

So... unless this DLC amazes me, i'll pass on buying it and just buy everything GTA4 should have been in the first place.
