Rock Band 2!!! That's such a waste!

Seriously, I think EA and Activision have to get their smarts on and stop saturating the market with rock games. Guitar Hero will have released GH 3, GH 4, GH: On Tour and GH: Aerosmith all with-in twelve months. Now EA wants to put an 'updated' Rock Band out there for the masses.... But we just got it.

I'm more than a little willing to spend money on the DLC for Rockband and I know RB2 will let me use old DLC, but like give us a break, more DLC and less semi flashy game updates released as a new game.

I'm almost regretting my interest in games like this now that it's becoming a small scourge.

I get Guitar Hero 4 since they need drums and a mic to stay competitive, but Rock Band 2 seems like kind of a bad idea. I mean they touted Rock Band 1 as a whole new platform for music games. Gaming platforms typically last more than a year. Why do they need a sequel already? They haven't even released all the full albums they promised everyone yet. If Rock Band two is going to be a huge content pack with a few new features why don't they just release all the content and featres as DLC as well. That way people without Rock Band could go get Rock Band 2, but people who bought the first game could just upgrade.

You, the guy who has the guts to call other men wimps is complaining about this?

Stop being such a sissy girl and learn to read and understand information:

Guitar Hero is the only name being whored out because EA is the devil.

Harmonix on the other hand have made their best effort to make Rock Band 2 the least rip-off as possible.

First of all, all your old instruments and DLC will work with Rock Band 2, second of all Rock Band 2 is just a perfected Rock Band 1 improving on all the things people complained about in the first and adding every single requested feature.

If you mean Guitar Hero 4, World Tour, Metalica, Aerosmith, 3, On Tour, etc, etc. Then yes. But leave Rock Band out of this.

You don't perfect a game and add to it, then the first game by definition would not be perfect and flawed.

If this were to come out next year, then that would be perfectly acceptable. I don't think the market can handle a new rock band every and two guitar hero games year. that's over saturation and quality control is going to break down.

No, they said Rock Band was the "attempt"

The sequel takes into account alot of feedback and refinements and perfects what they set out to do.

I'm so happy there's a sequel. Band World Tour Online FTW.

Well I haven't started this whole Guitar Hero thing till the 3rd one came out so I don't know about Madden like unless they start GH 2009, GH 2010

Rock Band 2 well that is just progression I suppose but when is it suppose to come out?  If this year then I'd be questioning if next year no worries.  I only ask because Rock Band is really pumping out dlc and it would be odd to make a new game right away with all the content they put out for it already.

End of this year. All content is transferable and they're making a giant platform for music.

Yeah just seems like Rock Band wants to go head to head with GH even though Rock Band set the new bar
