Ok, so for some reason, these two are similar to me in some ways. From what I understand, Hancock is the story of a guy who wakes up in a hospital, and has these superpowers and has no memory of how or what (i may be mistaken, but this is what i understood from the extended trailer with the hospital scenes). Prototype is the story of a guy who wakes up with superpowers who has no memory of who or what did this to him. The similarities end there, because the dude from Prototype goes buckwild and destroys/kills everything and everybody in front of him. Anyway, I just wanted to know if I have the jist from the two stories, and if anyone else sees or knows of any other similarities?

It would probably be best if you wait until both are released to try and make connections between the stories.

Last Will Smith movie i watched was Men in Black not even 2...lol i kid. i saw iRobot but not his latest 2

What, The Pursuit of Happyness and I Am Legend? Both are good movies, but you're not missing out on much.

Hancock looks like trash. Wake me up when The Dark Knight is out.

All I can say is hancock has a 36% on rottentomatoes... and I expect prototype to get better ratings than that.
