Yet another PC Gaming thread seeking approval/acceptance from Console Gaming.

Just enjoy what you have, man. Don't get into the 'Year Of This & Year Of That' crap.

This year sucked all-around, though not for Indie Developers.

Actually, I wasn't addressing this toward console gaming, or seeking their approval at all.  PC gaming was in the news through out the whole year, from great mods, interesting indie games, and such; which is strange when most pc news that used to come out was usually negative.

What you did is apply your myopic console wars view to this and turned it into something that it's not.

Oh, and 2012 was another great year in games, sorry I was too busy enjoying them rather than being pessimistic nerd.

It took you ****ers a while to jump onto Torchlight 2. One of the best games of the year; good thing Runic put it on sale so often to spread the game. For a while it was just me and my other friend that preordered it as well that had it now like 10 people on my friends list have it.

There was not 1 PC exclusive that interested me this year, so no...

You either have an extremely limited taste in games or you didn't bother looking.

These are just some of the ones I've actually played, they're all fantastic.

Yup they all look like crappy rts type games to me.

Well, this is the first year I've given strong consideration to building a rig; so I'd say there has been a lot of positive press and what not. Though I'm afraid my hunk-a-junk car will give out any day so I'm kind of reluctant to blow a whole lot of cash.

PeeWizzle wait till you have a solid safety net before you invest in a PC. I recently built a rig (1 gtx 670 and i5 Ivy bridge) and bought a nice corsair kb/m. Even though most of the parts were on sale, the total cost was about $1,300. Once you have a PC you will notice good games are way less expensive. After a few years I wouldn't be surprised to have saved around $500 by buying superior PC versions of games for less.

Well the PC had a better year than the PS3, I'll give it that. But no, there were no PC games this year that interested me. I would have liked to have played Age of the Empires Online, but alas, the video card.

Welcome to next gen:

Ironically, everything on consoles looks low budget when you compare it to a computer game.

So your telling me something like Uncharted looks low budget, that sound score, and motion capture work alone negates your comment. Even your mighty Witcher 2 doesn't have animation anywhere near UC3 level.

I don't know how anyone can honestly say torchlight looks more high budget then something like this.

You're comparing a game that took less than 4 million dollar to make, if that.  To a game that is going to cost upwards of 50 million...It's starting to make sense why you're a united supporter.
