10MAY08 Cincinnati Enquirer : The reason the Bengals didn't take a RB in last month's NFL Draft wasn't because they wanted to sign Shaun Alexander, who had been released by Seattle. The reason is that RB Chris Perry, their oft-injured 2004 first-round pick, appears to be healthy and ready to play this year. Perry, 26, who has played just one full season in four years in the NFL, has two years remaining on his rookie contract. HC Marvin Lewis said Sunday that Perry will be available Tuesday when the team begins voluntary on- field work. Perry was placed on season-ending injured reserve in 2007 after sustaining a serious ankle injury Nov. 26, 2006.

07MAY08 ESPN : Chris Henry was in court for a pretrial hearing Tuesday, and the judge ruled that the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver can travel for tryouts with other NFL teams.

04APR08 The Bengals released wide receiver Chris Henry.

03APR08 Cincinnati Enquirer on Chris Henry: The Bengals announced this morning that they have released WR Henry. Henry will be in court this morning to face assault and disorderly conduct charges. A woman who says she's a friend of troubled Bengals receiver Chris Henry threatened a man Monday who police say was later attacked by the football player. Whitney Jackson, a student at Cincinnati State, got into an argument with Gregory Meyer Jr. on Monday and told him she was going to get Henry to beat him up. Shortly after that, police said Wednesday, Henry punched Meyer in the head and threw a beer bottle through the rear passenger window of Meyer's 2002 Honda Civic. Police issued arrest warrants for Henry, 24, of Florence, Ky., charging him with assault and disorderly conduct. Henry, who already has been suspended once by the NFL for his off- field problems with the law, turned himself at the Hamilton County Justice Center in at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday. He will be in court at 12:30 today.

22DEC07 4for4 reports: Bengals #3 WR Chris Henry (ankle) did more Friday and he looks good to go against the Browns.

21DEC07 Cincinnati Enquirer : Bengals Chris Henry (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, joining Willie Anderson (knee), Stacy Andrews (knee) and Domata Peko (ankle) in full participation. Dexter Jackson (calf) and Madieu Williams (quad) had limited participation. Rudi Johnson (hamstring) and Deltha O'Neal (illness) did not practice.

20DEC07 4for4 reports: Bengals WR Chris Henry (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. He got back on the field today and took part in team drills. If he does more Friday, he'll be probable to go against the Browns.

20DEC07 Cincinnati Enquirer : Bengals WR Chris Henry (ankle) took a full practice Thursday.

19NOV07 Bengals WR Chris Henry has scored a TD and is 8-81 receiving in Week #11.

18NOV07 FoxSports on Chris Henry reports: The Bengals were pleased with the performance of WR Chris Henry last week and he will take some of the heat off Chad Johnson.

08NOV07 4for4 reports: The Bengals should have Johnson, Houshmandzadeh and "bad boy" WR Chris Henry available Sunday against the Ravens banged up secondary. For those new to Fantasy Football, Henry has shown he lacks maturity and he isn't much of a team guy either. However, below the neck, he's blessed with an excellent body. Henry is 6-4, smooth, lean, has great leaping skills and good speed. When he's focused he might be the most dangerous #3 WR in the NFL (a poor man's Randy Moss).

08NOV07 ESPN : Bengals WR Chris Henry was allegedly involved in an altercation with a parking attendant on the eve of rejoining the Bengals from his eight-game suspension. Henry practiced with the Bengals on Wednesday and will be eligible to play Sunday in Baltimore. Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended him for the first half of the season for repeatedly violating the NFL's conduct policy. The third-year receiver stayed out of trouble during the suspension and was allowed to practice with the team for the last two weeks. He sat out a 33-21 loss in Buffalo on Sunday that dropped his last-place team to 2-6.

07NOV07 4for4 reports: Bengals OC Bratkowski said they plan to use #3 WR Chris Henry Sunday even though he's in just his third week of practice as he ends his eight-game suspension, but he's not sure how much. "I'm a little rusty, but I'm working my way back into it," Henry said. "That will only take a couple days."

05NOV07 Cincinnati Enquirer : Bengals WR Chris Henry is scheduled to come off his suspension this week. Lewis said he was seeking further clarification from the NFL about procedure for Henry to come off his eight-game suspension. A league official told The Enquirer two weeks ago that Henry did not have to apply for reinstatement and was eligible as soon as the eighth game was served.

05NOV07 Cincinnati Enquirer : Bengals WR Chris Henry is back on the 53-man roster. Wide receiver Skyler Green was waived. The Bengals are 7- 14 in their last 21 games, 2-9 in their last 11 and 2-6 this season. I asked Marvin Lewis at his news conference if anyone else in the organization - beyond players and coaches - share in the responsibility? "No. Not at all," Lewis said. "I think that would be a cop out, an excuse. We've got enough ability here, enough talent here, players and coaches alike to be better than where we are, so that's my fault."

03NOV07 ESPN : Titans rookie HB Chris Henry has been notified he faces a four-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. Official notification is expected to be received Saturday, and Henry will have five days to decide if he wishes to appeal. Any appeal would delay the suspension until tests are verified and determined if they are valid. According to a source, the substance is not considered performance enhancing and a year ago was not on the banned list. Henry, 22, apparently took a prescription medication that contained a component included on the NFL's list of banned substances. The NFLPA and the NFL add new substances each year. The pending suspension, first reported by The NFL Network, was confirmed by two league sources on Friday night. Henry's agents Steve Feldman and Josh Luchs were unavailable for comment.
