I saw Juno the other day. This is one of those times when everyone is right(like scientology being a cult,those times), Juno is great. The story structure is straight Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment.

Its not a bad flick.
Its not a great flick.

I watched the whole thing withought getting the urge to turn it off
I am glad I watched it.
I think it was filmed near where I live.

It really wasn't all that funny I thought... and all the trailers made it seem like it was going to be as funny as 40 year old virgin and knkocked up.... BULL! Once was enough, I won't be watching it again though.

I have not seen the movie yet, I don't really intend to. I assume it is filled with a bunch of half hearted abortion/adoption messages trying to subtly influence people and lots of whiny teenagers making themselves look foolish trying to act like adults.

Plus after Hard Candy I find Ellen Page really annoying.

Yeah it was a good film... but the prase it got became quite annoying in the end. It's one of those films that never got much attention, then some hipster and or yuppie people see it and go ranting and raving about it turing the film into this semi-overated movie.

Don't get me wrong, I like it. I didn't like how that the bulk of people seeing it was like 40-50 year old who think they're still 'in'. It's a film that didn't speak to the right generation (ie pre-pubescent kids) based on the fact that I don't think many felt inclined to see it.

Basically it was for some a 'yeah I saw that movie months ago before it became popular' films. And they actually suck after the attention they get. For me, it's a once watch movie.

Hard Candy is really good, saw it a month ago...but i thought the ending was quite off...

It has been a few day since I wrote in this thread and I have to change something.
Juno is my favorite movie of all time.
In a romanic movie you have two charactors that come together then hate each other then fall apart them come together at the end. Am I talking about Paulie and Juno, no I am not. I am talking about Juno and child.

Juno calls the child it. Complains about her condition. Is placed in awkward hell, know as highschool, where all things that stick out are hammered. Endures all of this for the inconvinace of this condition. Until the end when the child is taken from her and she crys. These tears Juno sheds because she love the child. Juno learns what abandonment means.

She didn't want to see the child because she know her love would only hurt the baby that she loved. Have you ever run from someone because you love them and you can only hurt them.
