It is BORING....they made it soooooo tedious...i have to do everything myself..and it seems so shitty graphically. The friend shit and phone call thing gets annoying. Online should've been FPS, instead of boring chase dots around HUD crap. 30 FPS is ridiculous...considering the money they spent on development. I loved VICE CITY, this gets a 7/10 in my book. I fall asleep playing for more than 2 hours, COD 4 can still play for 4 hours. Hopefully more fans will be critical.

I'm a big fan of the series (owned and completed GTA, GTA2, GTA3, VC, SA) and i really like GTA IV. The reaslism improves the game and keeps it from being a mediocre crackdown. You sound like you want to play Crackdown.

I will take the lack of planes so they can add the cover system and multiplayer.

I am dissappointed there is no tanks and military on 6 stars though

Nice to see someone out there who isn't a completely biased with this game and instantly give it a 10. Although it's good, I feel it's been getting too much hype, and it feels a little overrated.

I'm sure you're such a "true playa" playing GTA and posting on an internet forum.

Truth be told, Crackdown was 1000x better than GTA4, because the basic driving and shooting mechanics were actually fun, unlike those in GTA4.

I liked the game, but def over rated, I actually sold my copy 5 days after launch day for £80 to someone who could not get a copy from "GAME" got dark sector and rainbox 6 great, 2 for 1. I think magazines and online websites have gone mental over it for giving it 10/10 IMO

wow...if you hate are those things..then you must not understand how REAL it is..you are so used to everything being too cartoony, but i guess you were stuck..and 30fps is not what i get..i get the 60fps on my ps3...i do agree on one thing..the cars do take a while to explode..but i got used it..just take cover, and i never got pushed on the ground..and you probably hate which why you use cheat codes...hands down this game is BETTER than the rest: graphics/gameplay/physics wise...replay it again, and see if you get the same thing

Besides, I am sure that the cops are wearing their standard issue body armour. Same as they would in REAL life.

Just and FYI; standard issue body armor worn by police officers is usually "Type II" grade. Meaning that it can protect against .22 LR, .380 ACP, 9 mm, and .357 Magnum round nose bullets. (That's basically just protection from handguns, not weapons such as shotguns or high caliber rifles- which you can use in the game).

Type II armor is not as bulky as the higher grade armor, which means it can be worn over the standard dress without hindering mobility, or reducing reaction times.

Higher grade body armors can protect against high velocity rounds, as well as some armor piercing rounds. Typically a normal police officer would not wear anything higher than Type II armor for comfort and mobility reasons.

Exceptions include SWAT teams or when suspects are expected to be carrying high caliber rifles or automatic weapons. Keep in mind though, that anything above Type II is very bulky and significantly reduces mobility.

Before we begin, I completed Vice City 100%, completed San Andreas 90-95%, and I played all the missions in GTA 3, they were the best games ever to me, but GTAIV was an epic disapointment

I hate how niko walks so slowly, how I have to hold another button to make him run. I like how niko can be a normal person, rather than some maniac running around the street all the time

I hate how the framerate is only 30fps. I like how the gameplay never gets boring

I hate how there are no tanks. I like how the games not in the middle of the war in iraq

I hate how there are no airplanes. I Like how there are helicopters

I hate how strong cops are. I like how realistic the cops are

I hate how long it takes for cars on fire to explode. I like how it takes awhile for the gas to ingite the flames causing the car to blow up rather than it being spontaneos

I hate how easy it is to get pushed on the ground. I like how if youre running full speed at someone and bump into them they fall

I ESPECIALY HATE HOW MUCH LONGER IT TAKES TO ENTER A CHEAT CODE-I know it saves on the phone, but its not very easy to use it like that when under fire. I like how you actually type it into a phone rather than it coming out of nowhere, makes it feel like you ordered it

I hate how we cant go underwater. I like how realistically dirty the Hudson and East river are causing anyone with a brain not to dip their head underwater

Are you joking? we cant even toggle the speed at which he walks theres only annoyingly slow. What were you thinking? he said FPS, as in how fast the game technically refreshes its frames in order to provide motion. Gameplay is the variaty of things and how fun they are to do in a game, not how technically impressive a game is. But yah 30 FPS sux due to the fact it dips under that when there is commotion, but if it stayed 30 FPS constant, not to mention being at 60FPS with dips, it would have been alot better.

Yah the helicopters are sufficient, the city isnt as big as San Andreas sadly, but fortunatley more content packed, and helicopters are the proper fast means of transportation. Oh and on a side note, are there parachute, plz someone tell me yes.

I hate how strong cops are. I like how realistic the cops are. Their AI is so well that they almost exploit the cover system. But they sure are alot more interesting, though it seems 1 cop can take more punishment than i can even with armor

Unless there is more than 1 mission that asks u to explode a car using something stupid like a truck or a pistol while its moving, then i have no problem, but in turn actually love the realistic damage modeling and how long it takes to total a car.

I dont like not being able to outlast 20 cops by just entering a health cheat whenever i need, this system wouldnt be so flawed if the dam cellphone didnt retract after 1 spec of dust touches your character or a light breeze occurs. Oh and dont talk about realistic when it comes to cheats, its too contradictory, because how realistic is it, to call for a police helicopter when your being followed by the cops and it just lands in your face 2 feet away? Dont forget to thank the person before u hang up then while your at it.

Anyone brain dead? ok, i'd like to see you shoot a cop, when his partner sees you, then jump in the hudson, and then see if your brain dead enough to swim under water...WHY DID THEY TAKE UNDERWATER DIVING AWAY, THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

8.4/10 is my rating for this game. 9.4/10 is my rating for this game. 8/10 from me because I can understand taking away helicopters, but tanks? underwater diving? and all the little things out like on the fly cheats, heck if you were going to use the menu for cheats then dont let it cancel while we are trying to activate the code its RIDICULOUS, nonetheless, the game is fun for the few moments my 360 lasted b4 it went bad on me.
